Hey guys,

I've played a lot of Smite, but most of my builds were based on things I read here, and I often wondered why one piece of equipment was better than another. The damage formula is too complex for me to quickly compare one piece of equipment to another in terms of actual damage done or avoided. To help I built smitefighter.com. It lets you choose two gods, equip them and simulate a fight. I find it pretty interesting, and thought it might be useful to someone.

Some things I might add in the future:
    Healing (regen or otherwise)
    Passives
    Lifesteal
Mobile support (looks like garbage on a phone)
Updated data (the gods/items are a month or so old)

It's an interesting idea. I guess my main concern is that it's already more or less been done? Smite Builder lets you equip gods, set them to the level and items desired, and if you've equipped more than one god it will show their dps against each other.

I don't mean to discourage you, by all means the more smite websites the merrier, I just don't want you to go through all this trouble if you're unaware that the other site exists :P

"Tool for Smite Mathematicians"

The only tools a real Smite Mathematician uses are the database and a calculator! I do my own damage calculations, thank you.

It's a good idea for casuals, though.

If you really want to be part of the game math elite, you should use Excel (or Google Sheets when it gets a few new features and bugfixes and quality of life improvements).

I don't have the money for Excel. I make my graphs with Desmos. It's free.
