(OOC: I had to completely redo mine. Blame everyone else but me please.)
"Excuse me?" asked a voice. "Have you seen my dad?"
Kanus looked up from his paperwork, and saw only air. He frowned, and stood up, and peered over his desk. Then he saw the Riolu. He sighed.
"Alright, just give me a minute..." Kanus began to shuffle through his files, not an easy task for a Nidoking with claws. "Hmm...ah!" He took out a paper and brandished it triumphantly. "There was a Lucario here five days ago, went to the Crystal Caves with Ore Team."
"Five days...," the Riolu repeated, "...five DAYS? He's been gone for FIVE DAYS? And you haven't gone looking for him or anything?"
Kanus rolled his eyes. "Look," he said flatly, "These missions take time. Sometimes, teams are gone for weeks. There's no point in fussing about it, and some of us have jobs to do." He gave the Riolu a look, but the kid either didn't notice or didn't care.
"Then...I'll just go myself!"
Kanus actually laughed at that. "Are you crazy?" he barked. "I'll be fired if I let you put a single toe past that gate. You're not part of a rescue team, and civilians have no business going into places like that."
The Riolu crossed his arms. "Then I'll make my own team."
Kanus snorted. "Good luck with that." Then he paused. Maybe he could give the kid a break. "Fine, I'll give you the papers."
"Fine, and - wait, what? Really?"
Kanus sighed. "Yes, really."
The Riolu's expression did a complete 180. "Thank you!" he cheered. "Thank you thank you thankyouthankyouthankyou!"
It took the rest of his shift, but the station was empty and Kanus was bored (and really, he was just taking pity on this kid), but the Riolu was soon a qualified Rescuer.
"Right, looks like you missed most of the festival." He saw the Riolu's clueless look. "Ah, I figured you weren't from around here. Well, if you hurry up to the town square, you'll probably be able to find a few teammates to help you out." Arceus knows you need it, he added silently.
The Riolu was off like a shot, slamming open the door as he passed. "Thank you, Mr. Nidoking!" he called. "I won't forget this!"
Kanus shook his head. "And he forgot the scarf. Typical."
I am a (male obv) Ralts. I have never been in contact with humans, but have had a very interesting genealogy, as my egg moves show. I want to join a rescuing team mostly to try to remedy an inferiority complex I have - and also to find a Dawn Stone, so he won't be stuck as a Gardevoir. Being a Kirlia is going to be bad enough.
Moves:
-Synchronoise
-shadow sneak
-encore
-destiny bond
a Ralts walks into the fair area. It looks like it's almost ready to start closing up, so he walks towards the resturants to see if he can find anybody who are still at the fair.
