Need help before going to League play.

Hey, I've been playing Smite for a few weeks now and am level 21, I've been working on mastering as many gods as I can, but I could use some help. I'm not sure what the atmosphere is in league play, or what sort of role I should main. I know that I need to be at least competent in all the roles, but right now solo and jungle are my weakest and I could use some help picking up some gods. I'd also appreciate a run down of the meta and what are strong gods and builds. I used to play LoL before it ate away at my soul and my peak was Diamond 3, so I want to be not terrible in Smite, so if anyone can help me or point me in the direction of a good clan, that'd be great, thanks!

Solo and Jungle are the most wanted roles. Poseidon and Scylla dominate mid. Apollo, Neith and Ullr dominate ADC. ***ba and Athena Dominate Support. Ra, Chang'e, Hel, Hercules and Aphrodite dominate Solo. Bastet and Hun Batz dominate Jungle.

Tiermonster.com is the best way to view popular picked builds for gods.

Once you hit Plat and up in Ranked talk to players in those games. Best way to find talent for a clan.

I'd say Geb is higher pick than Athena.

To be honest you should master all gods before going into ranked. Except maybe Xbal, AAnubis and Ara :P

Actually some people love Anubis but he's right the more masteries the more vlexiable you are for trading with you're team.

I don't know why people dislike Xbal. I use him a lot, and personally I think he is one of the best.

If the enemy team grabs xbal I just grab Fenrir. I always win against him even late game. He hit's hard but is to risky. Where as Ah muzen has a cripple ult that would shut Fenrir down. Ranked is all about counter picking.

Thanks for all the tips, I've had the most fun with Bastet and Mercury as junglers and I've been leaning towards support and jungle.
