Also what internet speed are you guys playing on, when I do the speed test I normally get about 6.58 mbps, it says it can go up to 15mbps but I rarely see it do that.

Should I get faster internet or is that enough.
Also I do notice that when I am upstairs certain spots connect better since I am using a router, when I am downstairs I hardly ever lag even on the router.

I'm from Arkansas and my internet doesn't even run 1mb/s. Like, 400kb/s max download speed. So, I doubt your speed is a problem.

I live in Texas and my internet is fine. You should check your computer for it's probably not your internet that is wrong.

I'm in Uniontown Pa, that is 1 hour away from Pittsburgh.
I swear Pa runs 30% of all gamers because no matter what game I am playing there are always people from Pa.

The graphics card can't mess up ping can it? I would assume it can't but either way if thats not the problem and my mbps is fine than its either from me playing upstairs further away from my router or I am just getting ****py servers from time to time.

Framerate and performance can adversely effect latency, yes. If your computer can't process the information it's receiving as fast as it's coming in, then you'll get choppy gameplay. But that's usually not an issue for most games. It's probably something to do with your wifi. You might want to try clearing your router cache. Sometimes playing online games can overload it because of leftover connection information, since router caches are generally only a few MB of space.

Man every 1s internet sounds so much better than 90% of australia.
Here avg top speed is around 2mbs
When im on na servers its bout 270 ping give or take and when I get those ****ty servers its bout 300+

Its y I dnt play the game that often anymore. I know aus severs will be ages away but having at least us west coast servers would be a welcome addition.

My download speed is, on average, at 85 mb/s and my upload is 90 mb/s according to speedtest. I also live in Amsterdam, exactly where the EU servers are located. Life's good. (Other than the whole banned situation ..)

Edit: Wait I do have some insightfulnes to share. Your hardware does not affect your ping shown whatsoever. What Ghraf said is partly true, bad hardware might make it seem like you have a high ping due to similair symptons like slow rendering and choppy/late responses. But since you said you actually saw a high ping (by clicking F8 and monitoring, I assume). It's safe to assume that your hardware is not at fault.

In hindsight, what Ghraf said could also be entirely true, but only if your hardware is so slow that the simple packages Smite sends get queue'd in due to slow processing. But it's highly unlikely Smite would be play-able at all, at any time, if that was the case.

Conclusioné: Server located far away, bad connection between ISP and specific server, DDOS, bugged out, **** out of luck.

My internet is only $30 and I get 6.5mbsp even when my brother is playing online on his xbox? Your internet must only be $20 if you are getting that low of mbps :D

It says for $30 I can get 6-15mbps even though the highest I ever seen was like 11mbps usually its 6.5ishmbps
