So there seems to be a lot of snarkiness and mud slinging on the forum lately. Maybe there's some people you don't like, but that doesn't excuse you from the rules.

I'd just like everyone to take a breather, count to 10 before you post, etc.

At the point where people are telling me they're avoiding the forums because of all the drama, something is wrong. SmiteFire's supposed to be a FUN community of people that are nice and helpful! That's how the forum's always been, so let's focus on getting back to that.

If you have any ideas for new topics to discuss, making a thread would be awesome!. Let's get back to talking about Smite instead of focusing on people we do not like. Like the new Ao Kuang, boy do I wish he was still a dragon (all the time).

I've also created the Say Something Nice thread to celebrate the people you do enjoy on SmiteFire!

People just care to much. Kind of like kids. Push someone down for calling you smelly. Get pushed back. Then cry about it while saying that they started it. When in fact. You started the pushing first.

Most of these arguments start when I'm asleep so I can't do anything. Wish I could though.

Well, from what I've seen, it's more of not liking the personalities of other users than anything else. Granted, that still doesn't mean you're allowed to ****post, but it's something that IS kind of hard to remove entirely.

Have to agree with Talenheim. It's more a conflicting personalities issue more than anything. Nonetheless, we should still be conscious of the issue and try to be better about it.

Two problems, it always starts the same way (I would just like to point out the two problems)

Well at least from what I see the fights always start from the same topics....

#1 - You have people who call Smite garbage yet are on the forum, how exactly does anyone expect that to come out as no argument when people are on a Smite forum calling the game horrible yet they are on the forum every single day and expect everyone to agree with them that Smite is horrible. This is probably the most obvious reason people get into fights on this forum. I do not understand why people who call Smite horrible on almost every thread deserve to be on this forum. There is a difference between just saying the downsides to Smite and completely trashing the game purposely. Simply put you have people on the forum who do not play Smite, but are only on this forum to call Smite horrible everytime they get the chance on a thread.

And people wonder why people fight? Well maybe if you had actual people on this forum who played the game and was not hear only to call Smite horrible it would be a better place. That would be like me going to a store that I hate, holding up signs outside of that store saying "THIS STORE SUCKS" but yet I go shopping in that store.....
I would be a hypocrite....

#2 - Balance topics - This is the second obvious reason people fight, there are 3 groups. There are the groups that actually play Smite and talk about balance, there is the group who does not play smite and talk about balance, then there is the group who does nothing at all but say everything is unbalanced (Literally everything)

That ruins the forum for a few reasons.

- Why do we have people who do not play Smite trying to argue that the game is unbalanced when they clearly come out and say they like other Mobas and they do not even play Smite or haven't in a long time. Also DO NOT misunderstand what I am saying, I am NOT saying people who don't play Smite cannot talk about balance, what I AM SAYING is, those people should not be trying to argue about it as if they are 100% correct unless they actually have been playing the game, basically I am saying is, they should not be able to fight over if they are right or not unless they have been playing.

- Why do we have people on this forum who claim everything is unbalanced, yet when I say something isn't unbalanced they can never tell me why its unbalanced, they just ignore it...

*OVERALL THE PROBLEM IS VERY CLEAR*

Smite forum is suppose to be for people who PLAY SMITE.

Instead we have people on the forum who not only do not play the game but they constanstly call it horrible, garbage, trash, other Mobas are better.

WHY ARE THE HERE???

That is a serious question, what is the point of someone like that being on the forum?

Also I am talking to every single person who does this not just one person.

I do not understand WHAT they bring to this forum, they bring nothing positive and constantly call Smite garbage and unbalanced yet they are always on this forum....

I would like to emphasize the tidbit about taking a 10 second breather before making a post. Your thoughts need to go from your head to the keyboard and then you have to confirm a submission before anyone but yourself can see what you've written. Unlike the case with verbal discussions, you have time to review what you've written and reflect on how it will come across. If you feel like a grudge you have against someone has affected your response, then please take a good, hard look at it and see how you can fix it.

I get that it can be frustrating to deal with people whose personalities you clash with, and I'll admit in the past I, myself, have made many snide remarks to one user in particular (though I always made an effort to keep them from being inflammatory). But if you feel like you have a problem with someone, please send me a message and I'll try to collaborate with everyone involved and work on reducing the tensions to help keep Smitefire what it was meant to be: a fun, relaxing place to publish guides and discuss Smite or almost any other topic.
