Bran's Newbie Adventures in ConquestLand - Episode Deux

After a couple of days of avoiding playing Conquest (friends I would team with are usually never on when I play!), I felt brave last night.

Match #1 (ADC )

Decided to play a solo-queued Conquest match. Finally was able to conquer my fear of solo-queuing (maybe just this once). I tried calling Solo first, but was beaten to the punch, so I was able to get ADC. Chose ...and found myself against an opposing .

I didn't do my Support any favors...poor ...sorry! Was just thoroughly outplayed, so it wasn't about bad god matchups, just my poor play. Though...I did get her just once. If I recall the sequence correctly, there were some s involved, maybe some other abilities, and being thrown around back to back. I think she activated hers first, and I activated mine. Turned around to avoid hers, then immediately spun and stoned her, and finished her with a couple of quick basics.

Went 1/4/0. Ouch.

Simply Having the Last Laugh

Howdy Gentlemen and Ladies!
So I was going through my guides and I realised two guides needed updating. Loki and Chiron, so this night I've just managed to get the Loki one finished and done (Hope you enjoy btw) and the Chiron one should hopefully be done tomorrow.

Apart from that I've found my favourite skin for the Trickster. The Last Laugh skin is simply something that I think should've been added ages ago and I'm happy they've managed to get it in the game. It's much better then Joki due to the more bright and vibrant colours it has and also the voice pack for it always has me laughing my pants off.

So yeah, small blog today but I just thought I should update you guys.

So for being on this site for a bit I see that you see blogs about what is your favorite god in smite and which one kept you going for the all hours you grinded into this game. So i'm just asking that which god in Smite that you hated the most. I'm probably guessing that bunch of people is going to say so I don't mind that because he is a *****. I just wonder what gods you hated throughout your smite career.

My most hated god was but now is hate that ****ing bee.

When i first started smite, was just released and the gods you got at the Start were (old), , and another god i can't Remember.

Idk why, i just looks So cool! She was badass! She got me to keep playing smite.

Which God Got You to play smite? And also, i will be playing nonstop, in jungle, adc, solo and even mid, see ya!

Despite the total number of SMITE matches I've played over the past couple of years (approaching 2,000, and 521 hours according to SmiteGuru), I'm a Conquest newbie.

I've written guides, you say? Even one for Conquest? That's called a talent for gathering info, combined with the willingness to spend lots of time writing / honing / correcting / BBcoding. My actual skill in the game? That's another story. Actually, that's THIS story.

Depending on how often I attempt Conquest matches, and as I feel or see any progress in my level of play, I'll share my experiences in this type of format.

A History Of Me & SMITE

Bloodforge Changes

So, I'm excited for the rework in the pipeline, as it's becoming a crazy luxury item for kill-happy people who've already stacked their . On otherwise squishy solo laners like (who's currently my favorite solo laner, barely ahead of Bellona and Tyr) a much more viable and dangerous teamfight presence.

So, just in case the item reworks haven't been seen on the site, here's what it looks like now:

Bloodforge

Cost: 2850
+75 Physical Power
+15% Physical Lifesteal
PASSIVE: Killing an enemy god forges a shield from their blood with health equal to 200 + 10 per Player Level for 20s. While the Blood Shield is active you gain +20% movement speed.

Now, here's the best part of this: The Assassin, specifically the basic-attack based assassin, is now a viable solo lane choice. While they were comfort picks for many players in solo lanes and counter-picks as well, the changes to Bloodforge mean that solo lane picks like Bakasura or Kali (to a lesse…

Converted Guides

Hey everyone,

If you've read my guides before, but haven't revisited in a while, just know that my and Arena guides have been converted into guides for all modes (pretty much).

Both have ADC versions with full writeups, and also has a Jungler version. Arena builds have also been revised.

With solid, existing guides by other people for , and , I do not have any current plans to convert those.

As for good ol' , he doesn't appear to have any other current guides, but he's not really the most common pick in Conquest, so I'm hesitant to put forth the effort to convert that one.

So anyway, just a heads up on my current guide-making status. I don't have any plans on new ones, as it's a lot of work just maintaining the ones I have, but I have no problems reading and providing feedback on others' guides…

Twitch & Returnish

So update-ish on my current status. I reinstalled Smite recently, as I've had more time to play in recent days. Idk how long this will last, or if I can manage my time better with it but for now I guess I'm playing with some limited regularity. In this time 2 things have happened.

1) I've started to further establish my stream (twitch/theZilb). During these streams I've been trying to either fill the time with curse discussions with friends I play with, or with commentary about the games I'm in. Generally my solo commentary is focused on why I'm doing what I'm doing, the choices I'm making or just whatever comes to mind. I'm hoping that maybe it'll give some insight into my head as I play Smite and might help whoever so decides to watch it, or at least give some context. (I also put a smitefire logo in my overlay so show my support to this community <3 ).
