Notes core: warlocks staff book of thoth and i like bancrofts but you could replace it if you wanted
damage options: soul reaver / obsidian shard for anti tank.
soul gem /typhons fang for lifesteal.
chronos pendant for cooldown reduction.

defensive options: hide of the urchin/ mantle of discord/ void stone

this is my baron build i made it to give to a friend the build tries to synergize a lot of items together but still give you options to mix and match for what you need in your specific game while still maintaining the same structure.

I can understand the concept behind the writeup, but you should provide example builds instead of saying: "oh, buy this and buy that and buy this other thing." By the way, you should never build two stacking items because there's a good chance you won't be able to stack both of them.

they both stack at the same time you can easily have both stacked before 20 its really not a problem in the least example builds could be good but really its just core and then options for what you need in the game

Don’t double stack warlocks or book of Thoth for any mage. Double stacking hurts your early to mid game a lot and just isn’t worth it as it takes up important slots for other items. Alternative Build: , , , , , . Second Alternative Build: , Chronos’ Pendant, , , and lastly either , or .

it does slightly but not enough for it to be a problem divine ruin is super situational and all that tank shred can be fit into the build easily if you need it which is why i included them as options. spear of desolation seems rather underwhelming on baron in my opinion i thought about book of the dead but the base stats are rather bad so most of the value comes from the shield. i like warlocks staff because 500 health makes baron feel very tanky very early while also giving a good deal of damage at the same time. and they really dont take very long to stack up so if your weaker for 3-5 minutes than if you had bought different items but then stronger afterword its worth the trade off in my opinion

But are you really? is a utility mage/healer, plus you can't really trade with your midlane opponent if you're double stacking. Sure you *might* be more powerful late-game, but there's a good chance you won't get there if you're double stacking.

@Kriega: I really like on Baron because of the extra healing. While he's not a main healer like or , he can put out some good numbers.

This video is about triple stacking, but the concepts still apply to double.
