Hello lads!
This guide relies on newly introduced item
Telkhines Ring, which gives Zhong Kui a new edge, turning him from standard mage into an assasin-like being like Chronos, giving you huge burst to basic attack damage. "How so?" - you might ask, well... You see Zhong currently features a quite unique skill -
Book of Demons - which while flying around Kui fires a projectile along with his basic attack, dealing 50% of his damage, but it recieves FULL bonus from
Telkhines Ring, essentially doubling the damage! This might be an overlooked mechanic, but if it isn't - it allows for something interesting and, possibly, competetive, so for any HiRez guys out there - please, leave the thing as it is.
Now, I should probably mention that this guide is not designed for starters, because our damage shall be destributed not solely from your skills, but your basic attacks as well! To summ it up...
PROS:
- Element of surprise! Who would bloody expect a mage to deliver damage with basic attack from the very start?!
- Competetive damage output.
- Nice burst.
- UNIQUE AND FUN! So far I have been the only one with that mad idea...
CONS:
- Abscence of defence items makes you squishy. (Speculated lower)
- Magic Defence on enemies affects you even more.
- Inability to land attacks turns you into a joke.
Demon bag - your passive - now that is something very valuable indeed! It can contain up to 20 staks, giving you 3 protions (both Magic and Physical) per stack, adorning you with free 60 defence from both elements or 120 defence with your ult up! Since your base HP ain't low either - you may trust yourself into this ability alone and skip defence items completely.
Expose Evil - your first skill - your key skill. "How is it a key?" - you might ask. Well if you do - you'd better not use this guide... This ability leaves your victims marked, be they ther gods, minions or monsters, which can be detonated with your Exorcism or Book of Demons, giving you stacks of Demon Bag or stunning for additional duration. As it also slows your victims by 20% - it might be usefull to let it last as long as possible and not to detonate it with Exorcism and to detonate it lately with the Book of Demons simply for the sake of basic attack damage(considering you have the ring).
Exorcism - your second skill - universal burst / heal. Potent, efficient, cheap even after its healing component has been jokingly nerfed by plain "5". Apart from standard damage - it detonates targets marked with Expose Evil for additional damage, gives you stacks of Demon bag and it actually won't heal you if your victims have not been marked.
Book of Demons - your third skill - king of the party. Due to its unquie gimmick it gets the spotlight. Without it, as well as without
Recall Demons - your fourth skill, ultimate - universal ability of lifesaving and destruction. Heals friendly gods, while damaging your apponents, as well as granting you 5 seconds of CC immunity and double the defences of Demon bag. Not much to say about it, except that it is usefull in absolutely any situation.

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
