My Introduction

What's going on, Stuke here again for another guide. This guide will be focused on the True Pharaoh of Egypt, but now the Benevolent King of the Afterlife, Osiris.
Note: you don't have to follow this guide to the smallest detail, these are suggestions on how to play Osiris. I encourage you to look at the comment section below and see other suggestions.

Who is Osiris?

Osiris is a Physical, Melee, Warrior that relies on getting close to his opponents and deal a considerable amount of auto-attack damage. His abilities are used more for catching up to your opponent instead of dealing damage. With his utility, control, and a built-in damage mitigator, Osiris can be a dangerous god to box 1v1. Osiris excels at being a heavy counter to ADC or hard-hitting physical gods.

Pros / Cons

  • High Defense
  • Constant Annoying Damage
  • Damage Mitigation
  • No Escape (Besides his Ultimate)
  • Wonky Crowd Control
  • Steep Learning Curve

This is a unique passive compared to all other passives in that every time he uses an ability it gives him damage mitigation for each part of his body. When you lose all part, you are immune to slows, unaffected by movement penalties from Basic Attacks, and can walk through player generated walls; Examples being Ymir’s Ice Wall or Odin’s Ring of Spears.
This ability lets you throw your sickle and when it hits an enemy god, you slow them for a duration.
This is your main clear and poking power. When you hit something with Spirit Flail, you gain a movement speed increase. If your opponent is hit with Sickle Strike and hit them with this ability, the duration of the slow is increased for a tad bit longer and this ability deals extra damage.
This ability works well in a boxing match against one or more gods as it reduces any damage to you from enemy gods caught in your tether. When the duration of this ability is up any opponent stuck in your tethers is stun for a duration which makes a kill even more simple. The only problem is that they can get away easily so the control on Osiris is very wonky and hard to use.
When you use this ability, you leap and deal damage upon landing. Any enemy got caught in the AOE gets rooted for a second and have their healing reduced by 100%. Using this ability uses up any remaining parts on Osiris. This ability can be used as an escape or an initiation.

Items to Consider

Osiris is one of the best auto-attack boxers, in the warrior category, for his ability to take punches like a champ and keep fighting. Utilizing his hit chain and abilities to shift the fight into your favor in the long run. With, Osiris must have an Auto-Attack build as that's the only way to properly play him. While the jungle is similar, you might want to invest more into movement speed items as his mobility is low to properly jungle. Here is a selection of items that can synergize with Osiris that could be a nice addition to your build.

While most will choose one of the other but Osiris can run both and have a good time doing so. Weaving basic attacks with his abilities better than most melee boxers.

Tips & Tricks

  • Surprise
If you're going for an early invade, make sure that you can invade without risking your life in the process. Some matchups are good to invade on like, for example, Ra and Bastet as they don't have much early game power especially at level 1. If you're going to invade, put a point in Sickle Strike for the slow. If not, put a point in Spirit Flail as that is your clear and poking ability.
  • Power of the String
When starting a fight, make sure you get some opponents in the range and kept there to reduce any damage and for the stun if they're foolish enough to keep fighting you.
  • Spam the Kit
Use your abilities like a mad man in the jungle camps or in the lane, as when you start to fight your lane opponent you don't take as much damage as you should be. Plus, your passive will help with boxing to reduce damage.
    Box of Rain
With this standard combo, you'll be able to keep the enemy close and weave in some auto attacks to deal damage while your opponent struggles to get away.

Stages of the Game

Early Game
Osiris has a good Early Game with his Spirit Flail providing greater poking power and forces the lane opponent backed into a corner. Plus, if they try to aggro you, Judgement Tether can reduce the damage and stun them if they stay to long and Sickle Strike helps with keeping them close to you. All in all, Osiris could get First Blood in under the 3-minute mark if the pieces are in place and can snowball like a mad man if possible.
Middle Game
Early and Mid-Game is where you want to not only push the enemy back but build yourself up with the gold and experience from the lane. You want to farm until you take the enemy tower or get some damage items online.
Late Game
This is a simple stage: just run around, gank the enemy, and help with objectives.

In conclusion, Osiris is a wonky AA based bruiser with abilities that make it easier to kill your opponent from the utility than the damage itself. A god mainly used as a counter to other physical ADC's or magical healers but can hold his own against other gods. Hopefully, this guide is very helpful and allows you to use the powers given by the God of the Afterlife.

The next God i wanna try out.
So until now, i thought the Shields (Glad or Berserk) are more Bridgeitems and you sell them in the Lategame cause they are "just" T2 Items basically.
Can't be said overall for all Gods or am i missing something else here?

Most gods that use Beserker’s or glad Shield you sell late for another item. Exception being King Arthur where you don’t HAVE to sell it. Also it’s not recommend to build both shields, you go on or the other. Osiris can use either shoes but gladiators Shield is better for him. Berserkers is only really built on Erlang and Bellona.

i love building both Gladiator's Shield and Berserker's Shield on him.

That’s something you would only really do if you were ahead

It's not worth putting points in your ultimate after the first one over maxing out your 2 and your 1. The reason for this is levelling the ultimate only increases the damage by 100 whereas levelling your 1 and 2 gives 50-5 damage and they're on a much much lower cooldown so it will provide more damage overall than levelling your ultimate. Though it's up to you whether to max 3 or the ult after that. Other than that, great guide :) would love to see you add more details to it about items and matchups in future :D

Your description of Frostbound Hammer has a bracket missing.

Great Guide. Great examples. I really do enjoy reading the guides you produce, they help a lot.

I think that with the new god, Erlang Shen, Osiris is quite....useless

I didn't really like any warriors until found this guide. Now he's my favorite! Thanks!

I've been looking into Osiris because he's the one Warrior I was really excited to try out. However, I almost never play physical gods, much less melee, so I was at a loss on how to build him. I tried him in practice and he seemed like a good god to use, but build wise I was taking shots in the dark. This guide has been extremely helpful and I have to thank you for that. Upvote from me.

This is a really good guide. Thank you for making this, loved the ghost puns.

I would think Witchblade should be considered only against teams with 2+ gods that are heavily reliant on their auto attacks / attack speed. Eg: Rama ADC and Kali jungle.

Truthfully, in this meta, I would only build that early game to counter the commonly built Ichaival on Bellona and Ravana in the solo lane. No sense in having it late game when you could get much healthier items, like Midgardian Mail.

Guess I hadn't voted on this one before. As always, informative etc., which deserves an upvote.

My question comes from Mystical Mail. I've never personally been a fan...40 damage/second (is this true or does it do less with protections taken into account?) seems a bit low. You have to be on an enemy for 10 full seconds to do 400 (or less?) damage? The health is nice, but the protection's a bit low too. You don't have any better options here, at least for your standard build? Curious on your thoughts here.
