Olorun charges an orb of pure energy for up to 2s before firing it in front of him. The longer he charges the farther the projectile goes, passing through and damaging Enemy minions but stopping on colliding with Enemy gods.

This ability can Critically Hit and can provide stacks of Overflowing Divinity.

Olorun gains amplified Attack Speed. Every successful attack on an Enemy during the buff provides his inner Sun with energy, to a cap of 20 stacks. During the buff or for 4s after, Olorun can refire this ability to conjure the Sun to damage Enemies in an area. The Sun emits projectiles faster and more randomly with higher ammo. Hitting the same Enemy deals 20% less damage each time, to a minimum of 80% reduction.

Olorun brings forth Olodumare and Olofi who travel outwards, creating a large area of divine energy that distorts the flow of time within. All Enemies caught in the area are negatively affected by the time dilation, attacking, casting and even animating more slowly. Olorun himself benefits from the Sanctified Field in a similar way. The strength of the divine field also impacts the effect of buffs, debuffs, projectiles and deployables.

Why no death's toll? And if the other starters are better which is best in current meta?
Also, why use pythag over bancrofts? I see grandmasters using bancrofts

1. This is outdated (look at last update date / patch number), I can add Death's Toll when I update it again, though I think Arrow is better for him anyway.

2. Bancroft's is viable, but I prefer Pythag's for the cheaper price and it having health / percent pen (this also means you could get away with Pyth + Typh + Tahuti for your percent pen). However you could opt to get Typhon's early and get Pythag's after if you want your crit chance to come online sooner. The higher base lifesteal on Pythag's also pairs well with Typhon's.

Im curious, why Pytha instead of ring of hecate? What is so good about pytha? Hecate will give you more power which means more crit chance as well as attackspeed

Pyth for pen / health / high base lifesteal / cheap (cheap price especially relevant if going tahuti + telk early) also in some builds I prefer it cause of attack speed overcap with some starter upgrades, and I did mention for some of them you can get Hecate instead (like the Manikin build for example). Also the lower power doesen't really matter cause I don't get Pyth early (after boots) on him like I would on Chronos and maybe Sol with certain starts. Pyth + Typh + Tahuti is also a great way to get 30% pen in mage adc build.

I realized, why bother stacking BoT when 350gold more for Doom Orb (no stacking for 5PWR less? worth.).
I get MS and close to that crit cap which is reason for building BoT.

What ya think?

More mana from book of thoth (main reason), and cheaper is the reason I get Thoth. Getting Doom Orb is probably fine too, though with the cost being same as tahuti i'd rather just get tahuti later in the build and not get doom orb.

Orb has MP5 figured that'd cover the less MP. Really rather stack Toth over paying 350g?

Hey, how exactly did you manage to build BoT in mid?
I tried him yesterday and got buttfkd by hebo after LvL2.

LvL1 I won the poking but LvL2 on he just knocked me up anytime I tried to use my 1.
After LvL5 he just ULT'd me and ran away on his carpet. I did make a stupid mistake by getting Stone of Fal (useless item) instead off getting lifesteal

He can’t knock you up easily if you use the range of your 1 to your advantage. Oh and another thing, I don’t build Thoth first, I get it after pen boots and Pythags.

WELLLL... like i said, while charging up he'd move to me do it. I wish you could cancel ability and restart charging to bait his knockup. You fire early and you miss the archers. In hindsight better to lose tower than to die or forced back =/

Yeah that's the other option I thought off yest. Plus don't get a blessing.

I am interested to Poly. Why haven't you suggested it?
Very easy to confirm in ULT or "3" if in melee.
Late game get Typhoon and you are at 38% LS, so 76PWR.

BC or Pythags are better, but was thinking burst dmg if being dove.

Ok, 1. Only melee characters are mostly going to come close enough for you to use your 3 on them. Which means this isn’t good against ranged characters. 2. Relying on a situational possible ult interaction is not a good reason to get an item. 3. If you’re going AA-based on Olorun (which you should), then you want items that are going to help with your consistent AA-DPS, especially if you go Pythags instead of Bancrofts and/or you get a defensive item on Olorun. 4. Olorun doesen’t get off Poly procs as reliably as other mages like Morrigan or even another mage ADC - Chronos. 5. Poly benefits from very burst focused builds. 6. Poly is bad from behind, and ok on him if ahead, same with Sol. 7. The item has a self cooldown on the passive which means even less of reason to get it on Olorun. 8. Poly’s base stats don’t really help much with his passive.

If you were ADC in Ranked, Would you T1 BoT as 1st item?
I feel w/ the pace that if you buy T1 of Pythag, finish boots, then start BoT it's too late for stacking

Nope. Ideally you want tier 1 trinket for boxing. Also the BoT build is meant more for Mid than ADC I should clarify.

I didn't even realize it worked like that.

So if your AS is overcapped to like 3.0 and enemy debuff is .5 , That means you still get 2.5 AS? Or will it be 2.0?

This is what the Word of Thoth (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ow_ls0iB2wi2jbgU1FZv7RWWbqRDBGpt/view) has to say:

"Attack Speed is a little bit confusing If you have an attack speed increase
it states it as a % increase i.e. +15% attack speed. That 15% isn’t just a
flat 0.15, but a 15% increase on your Level 0 attack speed. For example,
Cernunnos has 1.00 attack speed at level 0, but Artemis has 0.95. A 25%
attack speed increase on Cernunnos would give him an additional 0.25 AS,
but the same 25% would only give Artemis 0.25 ∗ 0.95 = 0.2375 AS.

Reduction works in the same way, except in reverse. A 30% attack speed
slow on a god with 0.9 base attack speed will have their attack speed reduced
by 0.27, even if they have 2.5 AS at the moment.

Attack Speed can be said to be Cooldown Reduction for your basic attack.
If you have 0.4 AS, the lowest it can be brought to, you have a ‘refire time’ of
2.5s, which is determined when you fire the attack. These are then modified
by attack chain multipliers, so Ne Zha with 2.0 attack speed would take 0.5,
0.5, 0.66 and 1 second respectively to initiate each attack.

The formula for attack speed can be written as

Base Attack Speed × (1 + (AS Increase% − AS Decrease%)

There are a few items that have attack speed reduction on them, such as
Horrific Emblem, Midgardian Mail, Witchblade, Ichiaval and Frostbound
Hammer.

Attack Speed decreases will ’generally’ look for the most powerful one, so
Witchblade and Frostbound won’t stack together for 30% AS reduction, but
this rule is broken by any item that has a stacking attack speed slow,such
as Ichiaval or Midgardian, which will work in tandem. The same applies for
god attack speed slows: only the highest one will apply. "

Im not sure how it stacks with things like Chaac 3 though.

Also, your ULT doesn't count to your AS even if your BA are faster.
Still not worth a 3rd ring cause you are already at 2.4 w/ your steroid.
Def need 2 rings on him though

Yeah usually you build either Demonic + Telkhines or Demonic + Hastened. I prefer the former though. Or if you're in a 4 physical 1 magical comp as Olorun you could consider Telkhines + Hastened + Obs Shard, though it's an expensive option and delays your pen a bit (or attack speed if you go Telk > Obs Shard > Hastened), and im not a fan of it myself.

If you're against an enemy team that has/built multiple Attack Speed debuffs (midgardian/witchblade etc...) then you could consider a third ring, but thats very situational.

Has anyone tested if Etheral Staff synergize w/ BoToth?
Cause its "Mana from item" but not really. Imagine if that was a unintended mechanic ;)

Yes, EStaff proc synergizes w/ BoT... but it's negligible vs Odin (5PWR from 1 stack).
Vs mages who has BoToth it MIGHT be very nice?
In end the DMG increase is negligible. What's an extra 10dmg When you hitting for 400?


Toth, Deso, Pyth, Tele, Demonic, Typhoon does the most DMG. That extra pen from Deso is nice :O
For pure dmg, BC is better but you dont' want to be hurt
I am gonna use Rod over Toth though, since the dmg lost is recovered when they <50%.

Just started playing him, I personally feel that pen boots are niceer when poking early game...
So if I get it right, ult + 2 = 70% AS?

I also go BoToth on him, not sure if it's worth it (175PWR + 14 from Talon)... but my abilities do chunk.
I'm gonna try doom orb (165PWR) instead for the MS to be w/ team instead off stacking. Doubt the 24PWR will be big deal.

Do love the Deso idea though... some CD could really be nice =/

I think the ult + 2 could be 70% AS, but I don't know. You would probably have to check in jungle practice. Also not sure if it lets you overcap AS.

I've seen Barra go Thoth on him https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiHTJyDMxevK94QWtDySmtg/videos, on 3 of his 4 Olorun youtube uploads, I guess it's good if you want to hit the crit cap without needing fire giant or red buff by 6th item?

The thing about Doom Orb is it's not good early game on him, he also doesen't make great use of the tier 2 of doom orb unlike someone like Hel. Maybe lategame you can pick it up but by that point im not sure I see the point.

If you skip Toth and go straight into rings, you don't care about extra PWR from Mana like BoDead.

Something like.. Talon, Pen Ring, Teleken, Shaman, Tahuti, Orb (sell boots).

Is Rod Core? Late game I think so. If not, can get BoToth

Builds are all solid of course, though I wonder about your skill leveling. Priority in general is fine, but I think I'd invest here and there a bit more in the ult just to get that super long CD down.
