Introduction

Hello everyone! This is my first guide and I made it because I see a lot of people underestimating Nu Wa potential and sustainability.
Nu Wa is a Tier 2 Mage God who can be played on middle lane as well as in the solo lane.
The utility she has lays in the ability Clay Soldiers and the combo with Shining Metal but also in securing kills with Fire Shards. She can easily keep farming while maintaining great distance between her and the enemy so you will never have the feeling of being under pressure. She is fun to play but a little tricky and everything depends on how you use your abilites.

Abilities

This is Nu Wa's passive and it's pretty easy to understand. After 5 successful basic attacks on minions or gods the next basic attack will root the enemy for 1.5 seconds.

This ability has more utility than most people might think. With a fairly good amount of damage 50/75/100/125/150(+50% of your magical power) this ability is more of a life saver when you find yourself surrounded by 2 or more enemies. With its invisibility field and the boost of 10% in movement for 6s this ability becomes a juke creator and I can't count how many times this ability save me or some of my allies. The thing is that unlike when Loki uses his Vanish and disappears, the enemies know that you are in that smoky field and they start chasing you luring themselves into a trap where your allies can patiently wait for a killing spree.

Ah! The ability that makes Nu Wa so amazing. 1,2 or 3 Soldiers who posses 200Hp+20% of Nu Wa's total HP these little bastards are the most amazing and annoying thing in the game. There are a lot of things that you can do with this minions more than spawning them mindlessly. You can start a jungle buff with them so you or your allies won't take damage, you can block abilities like Scylla's Sic 'Em or Anubis Mummify, you can body block enemies, spawn them to aggro an enemy turret or phoenix so you and your Hunter can take it down, but the most important thing you can do with them is to stun and rip off enemy HP in a crazy combo with your Shining Metal. This guys are your best buddies and sometimes more reliable than your allies.

This is Nu Wa's best damage dealer. With an insignificant CD, a low mana cost and an amazing amount of damage you'll use this ability more often than your basic attack and make your enemies go crazy. Use this ability to clear your lane and use it as often as possible against enemy gods in combination with Clay Soldiers.

Nu Wa's ultimate, the Smite version of Karthus ultimate, the favorite ability of a stealer and the hope breaker of your enemies, this ability has 3 great uses. First of all it can secure a kill if the enemy is escaping. No matter where they are there is no escape. The second use is to save your life, making you immune to CC when using it and projecting you safety in the sky so you can take a little time to prepare your escape from enemies. The Third use is as a great radar for your team when you are taking down the Fire Giant or Gold Fury so you can see where your enemies are reducing the risk of getting your boss stolen or worse getting ganked and killed.

Gameplay and Teamwork

People say that Nu Wa is a mana eater which is not true but build her in the wrong way and you will find yourself without mana. For the start of the game I buy Soul Reliquary 3xMana Potions and an Ward. I keep the rest of the 600G for later but if you want to spend it you can buy Shoes and an active. I usually put my first point in Clay Soldiers ability so the minion can tank the jungle minnion without any of us taking damage but if we are ganked and we need to escape I will put it on Mysterious Fog so we can have a clear escape. After that I prefer to play on the safe side shooting from time to time a Shining Metal to clear a group of minions and using Clay Soldiers to protect my turret from enemy minions if necessary. After I get my Book of Thoth which is around level 5 or 6 I start to play more aggressive. The good thing here is that by playing defensive until now the enemy god is full of confidence so he leaves his guard down. Here 80% of the time I get my first kill and 50% the jungler will show up giving me another kill. The thing is that the Shining Metal really starts to hurt and after I build my Shoes of Focus I know I won't see my turret for a while. At level 11 you should already have 3-5 kills, 2 assist and Chronos' Pendant done and you should have like 300 AP. From now on I will start moving on the map helping the other lanes if necessary if not I will push my lane to oblivion or until the enemy team realizes that the lane is lost and that their teammate needs help. This is the moment where the team fights start. As positioning you should never be the first or the last. Don't let yourself exposed. Use your Mysterious Fog to make a silent appearance and use your 2+3 Combo to stun the enemy team. Use your ultimate to take down the ones who escape and your 1 if you need to escape. For the actives is not much to say. I use Aegis Pendant and Greater Purification most often but sometimes I also make an escape combo with Mysterious Fog+Greater Blinl for a funny escape.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

    Great Lane Pusher
    Secure Killings
    Good Stun
    Incredible burst of damage

Cons:

    Easy to kill
    No real escape
Takes time to get used with the Minions A.I.
