Ah Hercules... With impossible strength hercules can shoot down enemies without a breeze. One of the best tanks I've ever encountered but does a ****load of damage. Welcome to my guide for hercules, the champion of rome!

NOTE: YOU ARE A TANK, EVEN IF YOU PICK ATTACK DAMAGE, YOUR ROLE IS A TANK. Unless you have at least 2 tanks on your team already then that's fine.
Okay so first off we have Mark of the Vanguard which I have to be honest is the most PERFECT item for any tank or even squishy god to start off with. 5 Reduced damage neglects penetration so it's BEAST. After buying this you have so much gold that you can already buy your 2 actives.. that's awesome if you ask me!
Warrior Tabi is just an essential, what with the speed out of combat, physical power and critical chance why not get this item?
Reinforced Boots normally for Hercules I wouldn't encourage hp5 because of Strength from Pain but if you wanted more protection then this isn't too bad once you get through the later stage of the game.
Ankh of the Golem is perfect for building a healthy hercules *teehee* because of the 1% health turned into physical power you have to be... healthy... heh. The protection, attack speed and health is good for hercules as well.
Eye of retaliation UH best passive for Hercules evar! Just... read it... please.
Bulwark of Hope is very good against a heavy magical team especially zues... You're about to die from his stacks, pop Mitigate Wounds and let 600 dmg be reduced to 300 and mitigate wounds will heal you up to 1500 hp - 3000 hp depends when you leveled up Mitigate Wounds.
Sovereignty is ehh, pretty good with the protection aura. Make sure you're at every team fight because that aura tends to have no use by yourself. Health also supports Ankh of the Golem and focus increases the stun for Driving Strike when below half health.
Voidblade is an essential for any brawler type god *cough* Thor *cough* still have a cold here ugh. Basically it gives you protection and physical power with focus and its passive makes any enemy within 40 feet have their physical protection reduced.
Witch Stone has some alright stats if only it had health, that would be awesome. This item is for ones like Bakasura, Kali, Sun Wukong etc.
Deathbringer GET... THIS... NOW. You won't need penetration when your crits on tanks do 200 - 300 + depending on the amount of protection.
Strength from Pain This is why people get a lot of health because you don't want to be at 200 hp trying to kill a He Bo or something because you will get.... wiped out.... HAH. So make sure you have health and protection for this passive.
Driving Strike + Earthbreaker works well together especially when your opponents are playing passive or you are. Basically you need your team mate with you however i've killed atleast 2 people with a 2v1 fight with this combo (they were both nearly dead so it was just the opponent being ******ed. So, how do we do this combo? Start off with Earthbreaker and make sure you get atleast 1 enemy on the tip of the attack. After that go in front of them while they're in the air, turn around and use Driving Strike. You have an advantage if your health is 1/2 because of the stun.
Mitigate Wounds is overpowered when focused by a WHOLE team... I slighty remember being rooted by artemis trap, I had 3 people use their ults ( Hades, Odin and Zeus, yeah all those but I was fed) and after all those ults finished I was healing around 150 - 200 hp per tick over 4 seconds because I was basically dead...
Excavate is one of the hardest ults to land imo because it's very easy to dodge like Ra's Celestial Beam. I believe being in the jungle is the best time to use your ult or you're confident the enemy doesn't turn when retreating.

Un-killable when playing a tank and operating mitigate wounds
Has 3 crowd-control abilities that can save somebody from dieing.
An excellent team player and can play 2 roles
3 crowd-control abilities can be hard to hit in lanes
Lacks escape abilities other then Driving Strike but his dash pushes anyone infront of him which can be a bit of a bummer.
Yes, mid-lane Hercules CAN be done in fact you might get more kills because it's a 1v1 and you have a signature combo which pulls them in. Early game against Anubis once you are lvl 2 you should pull anubis in then push him back, you will probably get a kill if not then you'll make him retreat then you'll get the upper hand with lvling up.
Laning however would be easier because you have some support. I recommend having a laning partner who has quite a lot of cc and tanky so... I'm thinking Bacchus, Thor, Ymir or even Anubis with his stun and slow.
This is simple:
1. Make sure you tell your team when you're going to pull someone in with your Earthbreaker. e.g (VAA) with the voice commands
2. Whether or not you're being focused in a team fight, always help anyone in danger and always be fearless to go into a fight.
3. Always be the bait, your mitigate wounds and protection will be enough to withstand Death Gaze and Lightning Storm if you can, always lead somebody squishy to say, Anubis. Someone who can kill someone in 3 seconds and is op *COUGH* Anubis *COUGH*
