Introduction

I created this build as I wanted to share my thoughts on gods like these for a support build. This is mainly a support build!
After playing around for a bit with Hel in training, I decided to play her support, but I had to tweak a few items.
A big thanks to stpv_clumsyboi05 for refining my idea of this healing build. I have tried it out multiple times and have yet to lose lane with help of a good team.
Though Hel lacks CC and is very squishy, she is a very viable support with the help of a good team composition.
Hel's supportability is very high as her heal is very strong.
DISCLAIMER:
The mid build is far from finished. I'm trying out a lot of different ideas and am open for any suggestions. Please do not take this mid build for a good build.
The support build is difficult to play and meant to be High Risk-High Reward. This is just an idea and I will take any feedback/ideas on how to improve this build

Items

Starter

Sands of Time is the best season 8 starting item for Hel support. Another possible candidate is War Flag upgrading it into a War Banner. I chose Sands of Time over War Flag because it gives more survivability rather than damage output. This is mainly a damaging tank build, and this item is essential. Try to upgrade Sands of Time into Sentinel's Boon as soon as you can (minimum level 17)
Item 1

Shoes of Focus is a base item for Hel. She needs the the +250 Mana and +10% Cooldown Reduction. You can go for a risky endgame with Elixir of Speed and change boots for another item, but this is VERY situational.
Item 2

Rod of Asclepius is a base item for Hel support. It improves your allied healing to make sure they don't die.
Other Items
All other items are interswitchable for your comfort.

Skills

Pros / Cons

Pros:
  • Good burst damage
  • Great healing
  • Good supportive capabilities
.
.
Cons:
  • Very squishy
  • Difficult to play earlygame
  • Will lose earlygame against good pushers
  • Bad sustain

Summary

Hel is a very damaging support with good healing.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
This is my second guide and I couldn't really care less to make it all pretty, but if you people enjoy the guide I might spend a bit more time tidying up this guide and making it a bit more in-depth.
Be sure to check out my other guides :)

Alternate timeline isn't good at all

I'm struggling to think of ANY situation in which I'd sell my boots and start stacking a Book of Thoth 20+ minutes into a match.

I can almost guarantee you and your backline are going to be on a respawn timer exactly 0.5 seconds after the teamfight starts when a Lvl 20 Cu Chu jumps on your face.

IF you are talking about the mid build, just ignore it. Even then I'd also recommend building Book of Thoth on the main build and sell boots for a different item

No, I was referring to your support build.

Your standard mid build has no mention of shoes and a Tier 2 item in it. And I believe the mantle is a situational pickup, not a mandatory one. Once those are fixed, I recommend having someone look at your mid build again.

The mid build is mostly a reminder for myself to try and learn her play mid. It's totally unfinished and a pure draft. Let me add that to the introduction.
About the T2 item, idk what happened there. The reason there are no boots is because matey told me "oh just sell ur boots for another item and buy elixir of speed" but I personally don't find any other item to replace shoes of focus. Have any ideas on that?

Well, your friend is right, you should sell shoes late game for another item. But, you need to mention shoes because there are two options available to you. Are you going to get Shoes of Focus for the cooldown and mana? Or Shoes of the Magi for the lifesteal and power?

"A big thanks to stpv_clumsyboi05 for the main idea of this tank build."

"Main" build has 75 phys prots, 45 magic prots at full build. Very tanky /s

Totally didn't copy that from my tanky Amaterasu build ^_^
Thank's for the tip and let me change that real quick

Hel is not a supp unless your name is Genetics and you play EU.

My name is Jubiman and I play EU. Hel is a great support if your team composition allows it. It might be difficult early game but it is a lot of fun to play. I wish people would stop saying things like "this god can't play here" because in my eyes every god can play anywhere with the right mindset and the right build. Eventhough I have very little experience with MOBAs, I do know that most MOBA players like to think statically and I find that very boring. To have more fun I'd like to play my way. As I stated in my bio; I like to play gods in their off-position. It might not bring out their full potential, but you'll at least have a challenge for yourself and that is what makes it fun. Winning isn't all.

I'm sorry I am going to have to downvote this for several reasons:
First reason is that it looks like this was intended to become an amatarasu guide and then changed to another god making your skill section really confusing.

Second reason is that for a support build this build will not provide a front line (those prot from timeline are not enough) and your explanations on items being absent except for 3 of them does not help newer players to create a tankier. The starter is also not a great choice as it will have you fall behind, unless you can get a good lead from the early pressure. Meanwhile, for mid you will lack damage as this build continues on.

3rd and only a minor reason is that it is Hel support and like all non guardian healers she bring a double bladed-edge. In one way you build power to make sure your healing stays relevant, but then your team suffers from the lack of frontline. On the other side she builds tank and then her healing is not relevant at all. Combine this with Hel having no hard CC and she becomes a low tier support.

I see that I indeed forgot to change the passive for Hel. I did copy the code from my other Amaterasu build, and rewrote most of the text, but every skill I used replace all for. That usually ****s up some stuff. I had little time and patience so I released this in a bad state. My bad. I still don't see why it would make it seem 'very confusing' if I forget to change the passive's icon (I did change the text).

I also cannot say too much to new players as I myself am still learning a lot about items and god builds. My first support build worked, but was not nearly good enough to consistently be winning lane and supporting the team enough end-game. My friend Clumsy came in and helped me refine some ideas. Any guide I post is just a controversial idea and I want you to keep that in mind.
I also don't recommend playing Hel support if you are fairly new to the game as it is, in my experience, very difficult. Though because of that difficulty, it is very rewarding if you and your team do a good job.
I'm still trying to find correlations in good Carry synergies, but that will take some time as my knowledge of the game is too small to say that from the get go.

What I've noticed a lot is that with the people that I play with, we all play off-positioned gods. I.e. Yemoja Solo, anything Jungle (from Assasin to tanking Guardian), anything Mid and usually a Hunter Carry (though when I play Carry I play anything as well). This way you have the possibility for a different role to play a tanky damaging god while you focus on healing. Remember that Smite isn't a game you can play solo. It's a game you play with 5 people, and those 5 people need to work together to take the victrory. The teamworks starts at God Selection and ends with the build everyone uses.

To sum up what I am trying to say is that this might not be a build that is good if you play on your own. It also definitely not refined enough to be called a good build, but everything starts with an idea and once you start working out that idea you discover more possibilities.
The fact that this guide is currently lowly rated is because I failed to clearly communicate my ideas about Smite and about how to play it. I am not a sweaty guy, I just casually want to have fun. High risk-High reward they say.

I hope you get my ideas a bit more clearly now and I will keep your feedback in mind.
