Introduction

This is a build I put together on the fly as a dual purpose damage with survivability. Hopefully someone else finds it useful.

Items

For items I always start with some boots. With this build I went with the Shoes of the Magi to give me some added pen. Then I added Warlock's Sash to add a lot of health and some magic power. With health building up I then added an Ethereal Staff to use the high health to my advantage and gain more damage power. With the Warlock's Sash and Ethereal Staff you've now just added 1200 health to yourself. Since Geb takes reduced damage from crits I wasn't worried so much about physical damage so I beefed up on some magic def. I added a Telkhines Ring for some more magic power, magic def, attack speed, and increase to auto-attack damage. Then a void stone to add more magic power and magic def as well as the added benefit of reducing surrounding enemies magic def which only made all of my abilities hit harder. After that I'd just add a Gem of Isolation as that gives you slows to all of your abilities as well as adding more magic power and health.

Pros / Cons

Pros
Decent Damage
Good Survivability

Cons
Not a full tank
Not very high DPS

Personally I don't agree with Telkhines or Gem. This is because Telkhines only addsd 40 damage gives very few protections and attack speed isn't that great for guardians say other than ymir who it can add up to 80 bonus damage. For a replacement to this, dont see any lifesteal in there so a bancrofts could be a good choice.

As far as the gem is concerned rollout already does a slow and cataclysm stuns for 1.8 seconds rendering the 2 second slow pretty much useless. the counter to that is that it does actually effect shockwave but that is one ability. Even with the health and mana my suggestion would probably be soul reaver so that you can actually secure a kill with geb's ult.

Yes I realize this is about a year after the previous post, but if you do see it I hope it helps.

No, it's not some button you switch, just put in your title, "Build-Only guude" or something like that.

Ok subzero, now we're getting some useful feedback. First, how do I switch from guide to build or build to guide? On my screen it says "Build : Balanced Build - Conquest" nothing about guide.

I agree with the items text block, going to redo that whole section and revise my items cause everyone hates that ring for some reason. :\

Honestly I never read the guides here, I just look for decent item builds. If what you say about Anhur and no physical def items is true then Anhur should be able to kill everyone. That's just not the case. 1v1, sure maybe. But it's not a 1v1 build.

Here's the thing. If Anhur goes up against. Let's say an Anubis. Anhur would wreck everytime if Anubis missed his Mummify. With geb. He is just going to get torn to shreds as a tank without physical defense items. Also. We don't know what this build is. You don't tell us anything. At all. Most of your reasons for picking items are because they give a certain bonus. In that case. Any item should be used and work efficiently.

If this is just a build, then present it as a build only guide.

You're right, my review wasn't very helpful. The problem is that you present this as a full guide, promoting damage and survival. The problem with the title is:

A. You give the idea that this is a full and complete guide
B. You don't give a role. Is he a tank? Bruiser solo lane? Is this Arena? Mid? Jungle? What is he?

Secondly, you need to explain why you get the items you pick. You give rather generic reasons to pick them, which is adequate for some items, but not ALL of them. Shoes for pen and power, alright. But for warlock's sash, maybe you should say something about how stacking health is good for him.

You also need to rethink your items, like for Telkhines Ring. Yeah, it increases his auto damage, but that's not a good enough reason to buy it. Otherwise, every mage would get it. Give a reason why that item is good for Geb and/or Tanks.

Lastly, you need to give alternative options. Let's say you are facing a physical-heavy team. You want to get some physical defense against those Tyrs and Bakasuras and Herculeses, so what item would you replace? Why?

That's it, really, for build only guides. Do you want to make a full guide?

I'm going to start with.... God there is a lot to cover.

Your build........
Okay so you build Shoes of the Magi first. Why not Shoes of Focus. Maybe midas boots. Since those provide either CDR, or extra gold plus that health bonus. The magi seem pointless.

Next thing is Telkhines Ring. Bad protections. Poor damage. Poor everything. Terrible choice.

Then you throw me off completely with voidstone. Great hybrid item, but your whole build is weird damage and health. So why would you go support now. Why not focused voidstone.

There are also NO situationals. What if I fight against a quad physical team? What if I fight a quad magical team? What if I face a team with a ton of CC?

Was I supposed to by actives, or consumables? You didn't put any for me to get?

Also. Pretty sure with no physical protection an Adc like Anhur would still destroy you. Even with a little extra health. You NEED physical protections. No exceptions.

Your item explanations are bad. I am still wondering how I use Geb. I'll try to read your gameplay section. Wait there isn't one. That's not acceptable. You aren't teaching me HOW to use Geb. So there is no guidance and no reason for me(or anyone trying to learn geb to benefit from).

Why are the pros and cons at the end? If I was one hundred percent new I couldn't even trust the little information you have. Considering there is no proof that this build works for you. Looking from your profile you haven't even mastered him. So I doubt you have a ton of experience with him.

There is also no BBcoding. It is just one text wall paragraph. I see that someone already posted the link to "How to make a guide". Seriously use it. Take pride in your work. Then I'll come back and see if it is worth an upvote.

Thanks for feedback. Dark I'll take a look at that tutorial, that's a lot of help. Thank you.
Subzero, not very helpful reply... but thanks for looking at the build anyway?
Marteau, yeah I realize most people would use Geb as a tank only, but I built this as more of an offensive version. I realize people freak out when they see stack items on a "tank" but with HOG it shouldn't be a problem to get 100 stacks that do not go away upon death. Oh and why I leveled shield last is because you gain more benefit from it later on then you do early due to it being partly based off Geb's health.

Either way thanks for the feedback, I will revise/update when I get more time.

Wow, no physical defense at all ? Strange...
A stasck 100 item with a tank ? Not sure...
And you level up your shield LAST ???

Well, not fan of your build ;)

No gameplay, no skills, you have no right to present this as a guide. Downvote.

zero phys protections. ADC's will rape you forever, passive or not. TR is a useless item. At the very least replave that with wall of abso. Guide has nothing to it.
