Sands of Time great item for early mana sustain that give us usefull cooldown.
Gem little amount of intelligence for early push and jungle camps.
Aegis of Acceleration this item is possible with
Nu Wa as he has an inmune CC ability with
Fire Shards
Sands of Time
Gem
Health Potion
Aegis of Acceleration
Pendulum of Ages helps
Nu Wa on having
Clay Soldiers available for both self-defense and offense. This item provides 20% Cooldown Reduction, ensuring your soldiers and your global ultimate are available much more frequently to pressure the map.
Spear of Desolation Provides great amount of intelligence, which is perfect for shredding enemy carries. Its passive—reducing cooldowns on kills or assists—is incredible for
Nu Wa because her ultimate often secures global assists, allowing you to reset your combo quickly during a fight.
Book of Thoth helps
Nu Wa as she consumes a large amount of mana by constantly summoning minions and using her fog. This item converts your total mana into a massive Intelligence spike, making your
Clay Soldiers +
Shining Metal explosion hit significantly harder in the mid-game.
Soul Gem has incredible synergy with
Nu Wa’s Ultimate. When you have 4 stacks, using your ultimate will deal bonus damage to all 5 enemies and heal your entire team simultaneously, regardless of where they are on the map.
Rod of Tahuti its essential for every mages as it increases on a 25% your amount of intelligence creating a power spike for a midlaner.
Obsidian Shardits a late-game necessity. While your
Clay Soldiers already give you some pen, the 35% Penetration ensures that
Nu Wa can delete even the tankiest Guardians with a single well-timed explosion.
Soul Reaver as
Nu Wa’s ultimate is guaranteed to hit every enemy, this item will apply maximum health percentage damage to all 5 opponents at once. This effectively softens the entire enemy team before a major team fight begins.
Pendulum of Ages
Spear of Desolation
Book of Thoth
Soul Gem
Rod of Tahuti
Obsidian Shard
Soul Reaver
Divine Ruin instead of
Spear of Desolation if the enemy has heavy healing (e.g.,
Aphrodite,
Baron Samedi, or high Lifesteal builds).
Talisman Of Purification or
Blinking Abyss instead of
Soul Reaver if you want to have a doble relic.
Divine Ruin
Blinking Abyss
Talisman Of Purification

Fire Shards: Always upgrade your ultimate whenever it is available. Increasing its rank boosts the base damage dealt to all five enemy gods, which is essential for securing global kills and proccing items like
Soul Gem or
Soul Reaver.
Shining Metal: This is your primary damage and waveclear tool. Upgrading this first increases the damage of the projectile itself and, more importantly, the explosion damage when it shatters your
Clay Soldiers.
Clay Soldiers: Upgrade this second. While the soldiers themselves deal minor damage, leveling this ability increases the amount of flat penetration you get. Besides, at max level you get an extra soldier.
Mysterious Fog: This should be leveled last. While it provides great utility, movement speed, and stealth, its damage is less consistent than your soldiers' explosion combo. It is primarily used for repositioning or helping allies escape ganks.

Hi, my name is Ragna and I started playing Smite 1 on PC in 2021. I started playing in little community tournaments and after a lot of training and work I manage to play professional tournaments on Atlanta as the Smite Content Cup in 2024 and SCC during 2023.
Now, in Smite 2 I have reached Deity every single split and I have competed in tournaments like Smite Vegas Qualifiers (ending in 5th position of EU) and right now Smite Prime, so Im always getting updated about the best metas on the game.
Apart from that I have a Twitch channel Ragna_smite where we play Smite 2 every single day and we do coaching for the subs to help them to improve on Smite 2, answering questions, talking about the game, etc.
Hope you find this guide as a good starting point for the midlane and helps you improve your Janus skills and knowledge.

Passive - Every 12s, your next Basic Attack will Root all targets hit. Damaging an enemy with a Basic Attack reduces this cooldown by 1s. This is your most reliable self-peel. You can save your charged shot to stop a diving |

Ability 1 - Sends out a cloud of fog that damages enemies and hides allies. It grants you the Water Crystal, increasing your movement speed. The fog now allows you to fire Basic Attacks while remaining Stealthed. Use this to harass enemies from safety or to reposition while your passive root recharges. |

Ability 2 - Conjures soldiers that dash at enemies and gives you flat penetration. This grants the Earth Crystal, providing you with extra Penetration. The soldiers' falt penetration is essential for your burst. Summon them first to increase your damage before using your |

Ability 3 - Launches metal that stuns enemies upon hitting a soldier. This grants the Metal Crystal, making your Basic Attacks deal area damage. Because your Metal Crystal makes your autos hit in an area, you can combine this with your Passive Root to root multiple enemies at once if they are grouped up. |
|
Ultimate - Use this for global vision or to finish low-health enemies. The Fire Crystal allows you to stay at a safer distance while hitting enemies after you land. You can use this ability as well to scape from a big CC ability from and enemy. |
