Introduction

SIX WINS IN A ROW AND COUNTING

Hello guys! I literally made an account on here today so bear with me if I don't format or explain things perfectly. I would like to introduce to you the JUNGLE CTHULHU META that will strike fear into your enemies. The important things to note are: 1.) COOLDOWN IS KING 2.) TWO OR NO MORE THAN THREE PROTECTION ITEMS and 3.) EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED WITH THIS NEW META .

This build can also be used in arena, clash, and any other situation where you are not the primary tank.

I REPEAT

You are not supposed to be your team's primary tank with this build! The protection items I suggested are only to last in teamfights and to provide cooldown reduction.

Lastly, I am new here. So I'm sure there are some things I am missing or could have done better for this build. Please don't hesitate to provide feedback or even expound upon what I've suggested. I just wanted to introduce a new potential meta that is really fun to play with and can actually dominate in conquest.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Has enough crowd control to make you go insane
Has the most damage output of any guardian yet
Is a great asset in pretty much any conquest situation

Cons:
Very, Very slow movement speed compared to other guardians and gods
His ultimate ability makes him very vulnerable to attacks

Skills

The Mire should be the first ability you build. It provides a huge area of damage and crowd control. The first shot of the ability slows enemies. The second shot roots them in place while applying one stack of torment. This ability is also good for clearing waves in the event that you have to push your teammate's lanes up.

Sanity Break should be built second. This attack debuffs enemies with reduced attack speed and reduced damage done to Cthulhu for six seconds. This ability also adds one stack of torment, two if the enemy is facing Cthulhu.

Rushing Terror should be built third. This will be your ganking ability as you can stun all enemies you hit with this.

Descend Into Madness is built last of course. I suggest using this ability for chasedowns and for teamfights.

Ability Usage for ganks are:

(Without Blink Rune) Rushing Terror > Sanity Break > Descend Into Madness

(With Blink Rune) Sanity Break > The Mire > Descend Into Madness

(Without Ultimate Ability) Rushing Terror > Sanity Break > The Mire

Creeping / Jungling

You won't be doing too much damage out of the gate, so the most important thing is to set up GOOD ganks to help your teammates finish off their enemies. Be sure to account for enemy escapes, and don't be so quick to use The Mire until you know they either don't have an escape or it's on cooldown.

Cthulhu is perfect for chasedowns. The Mire and Descend Into Madness abilities can help finish off weakened enemies who are trying to run away.

Team Work

During teamfights, assist your team by slowing, stunning, and rooting enemies. Remember you are not the primary tank, so you shouldn't be taking the majority of the enemies damage. If your teammates are being chased, help them out by using The Mire and Descend Into Madness abilities on your enemies.

Summary

That's pretty much all I have for you guys. The most important things to remember is that COOLDOWN IS KING . Please feel free to provide feedback. My build may be lacking in some areas but I just wanted to let everyone know that Jungle Cthulhu is a successful meta that can be used to dominate your conquest matches.

You still need to change the start. It's Assassins blessing, tier 1 Spear (magic focus), 1 health pot and HoG , and then back for tier 2 boots (or full boots) then finish rest of build (getting full tier 3 boots on next back / whatever if you only got tier 2 earlier).

Also I'd probably start the 1, not the 2 in jungle. The 2 has a pretty long cooldown. By the time you've done the xp harpy near the jungle shrine and helped with the solo laners blue you will be level 2 anyway to put a point into your 2. Also at level 2 I think i've seen some people take the 3 over the 2, getting the 2 at level 3.

And max the 1 first since it's your primary Jungle clear.

Lastly, i'd maybe swap the heavenly wings for purification beads, yes there's some hybrid items in this build, but you're not as tanky as a Solo or Support Cthulu.

Are you aware there is a CDR cap?

Oh right my mistake I overlooked that. Would swapping out Shoes of Focus and Chronos Pendant for Shoes of Magi and Soul Reaver be a good choice?

Well... I probably wouldn’t even play him jungle, and maybe scratch the whole build.

But if someone forced me to play it I would probably go: Cdr boots > Deso > Divine > Breastplate of Valor / Celestial Helm > Void Stone > Mantle Of Discord and sell boots lategame for Reaver/Estaff.

Also could go boots into Deso or divine then straight into Breastplate and build divine or Deso you didn’t get earlier after.

Edit: Start would be Assassins blessing, tier 1 Spear (magic focus), 1 health pot and HoG.
