Introduction

Hi, my name is Noggles, and this is my first guide on smitefire. I have played Bakasura as my main for a while now, and would like to share how I play him.

Bakasura's role is physical carry. Basically, you hold down left-click for pentas. You have great minion control, and with a good laning partner, a very easy laning phase.

Bakasura, the Bulimic God

Items

Items

I start out with Warrior's Tabi tier 1 for the speed and early damage, and max it out second.

Devourer's Gloves I also start with Dev Gloves for the slight lifesteal advantage as well as extra physical power. I max this first to start stacks early.

I pick this up as my 3rd item to help bring down tank's, it works well with Bakasura's 3 ( Butcher Blades)

Qin's Blades with The Executioner and Butcher Blades means that the tanks are in for a bad time on the enemy team. I generally pick this item up third if tanks are becoming a nuisance.

This is primarily a late game item, the extra attack speed as well as crit chance helps immensely in quick, clean kills.

The jewel of all physical power items, I strongly recommend this on any physical carry.

I start out with Warrior Tabi tier 1 for the speed bonus. He should be able to chase down low health gods early on when this is combined with his passive.
Next I move on to Devourer's Gloves. I mean, come on, this item is a must have on Bakasura, it even has his title in the name! I do grab this item and max it as quickly as possible, and usually this can be accomplished by my first back.
The Executioner is a great item for melting squishies and weakening tanks. I pick this up third to stop any potential tank nuisances.
Qin's Blades is another good tank breaker item. Not only does it deal damage based on enemy health, it gives attack speed and physical power.
If the enemy team hasn't surrendered by now, you should consider picking up Rage and Deathbringer. This destructive duo is a must have, as this will grant you the pinnacle of physical power prowess.

Skills

Bakasuras attack speed increases by 4% for each enemy that he kills. The buff lasts for 10 seconds and can stack up to 5 times.

Bakasura leaps to his ground target location, doing 100 / 160 / 220 / 280 / 340 (+60% of your physical power) physical damage to all enemies in the area and reducing their damage done by 30% for 3 seconds.

Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.

Cooldown: 12 s.

Eat Minions Bakasura grabs a minion and devours it, healing himself for 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+100% of your physical power) and gaining a 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35% movement speed buff for 5 seconds. Buff wielding minions must be at 33% health to be consumed. Up to 6 minions are stored for Regurgitate.

Cost: 75 mana.

Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 s.
Bakasura passively gains 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 physical power. When activated, he gains an additional 10 / 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 true damage on each strike for 6 seconds.

Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana.

Cooldown: 14 s.
Bakasura exposes his head, regurgitating all of the minions consumed by his Consume Minion ability at his ground target location that slows enemy players by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35%. Bakasuras basic attacks become cone attacks for 6 seconds.

Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana.

Cooldown: 90 s.

Put one point in Eat Minions first, no matter what. This will enable you to get early buffs, and keep your minion wave ahead early game. Then you should put one point into Take Down for the utility and extra damage it grants you.
Butcher Blades is maxed first, for 2 reasons.
1) It gives a passive physical power bonus that will put you ahead of other AD Carries early on.
2) The true damage is unmatched in any straight up brawl. He can melt tanks down and eat them for supper in a matter of seconds.
Regurgitate, being his ultimate, is maxed whenever you can put points in it.

Con's

- Squishy, generally in early-midgame
- Relies on lane partner's CC
- Mana Hungry early

Common Good Lane Partners

I love playing with this god as my partner no matter what I am playing. His incredible CC and tankiness sets up many kills early game.

A good Anubis is something of a rarity now, but his stun and burst come in handy in many situations.

Hercules! Hercules! Herculeees! This guys knockback/push comes in handy on many occasions.

Sobek is the same reasoning as hercules, but more tanky.

My personal favorite laning partner is Ymir of the choices above. He is just a general nasty god if played correctly.

Common Scary Lane Opponents

Inevitably, there are counters to any god. These are some gods that drive me up the walls, and some tactics I use to try to come out on top.

Funny how our favorite ally is our worst enemy. This guy will freeze you, wall you off, slow you, slow you again, then [VEL] while you die. The best thing you can do is try to bait out his stun by dancing in its range. If he uses it, and misses, activate your Butcher Blades and mash that left click. Once his stun is back off cooldown, you are done for.

A new challenger has appeared! This guy has resurged as a threat, with the introduction of cripple. Triple stacked shackles and flames and you can only cry in frustration. Much like Ymir, the best thing you can do is bait out his Shackles, after he uses them he is virtually useless in a fight.

Guan Yu isn't too bad until his ultimate is ready. Then you have a problem on your hands. My only suggestion is to aegis through his ultimate and then leap away unless you are feeling lucky and want to try and take him out.

Stupid...douche-y legendary skin...this guy is broken. There is no way around it, he is just all around ridiculous. The only way you can counter him is to go at it safety in numbers method. Basically, mob this mofo with 3 or 4 of your friends.

Admittedly, you wont see this guy as much in a sidelane, but when you do, prepare to rage. He will nuke you hard, then dash away leaving you wondering what just hit you. Don't worry, this guy can get impatient and dash TOWARDS you. This is the perfect opportunity to show him just who is boss of the lane. If he is smart, and uses his dash as an escape, you will have to stow away your pride and take some pokes until his mana is depleted.

Summary

Here's the run down.

- You need to be aggressive early game, you have all the advantages, don't sit behind your minions letting those double buffs go to waste!

- Play smart, aggressive =/= blind rushing at enemy gods. Try to bait out different abilities, and then use the enemies timidness to your advantage.

- Remember, eat EVERYTHING.
Thanks for taking the time to read my first guide on smitefire. If this helped, please vote it up so more players can read my guide. :)

-Major thanks to Thanax for his BBCode guide, helped me out a lot. Also, his guide definitely helped me start out on the right foot.

Thanks ElGrizz, and yeah, I will put in jungle buffs soon, slipped my mind while making this :)

As for my odin build, I don't play him too much, and that match we played was me being a general troll and getting away with it because Odin.
