Does anyone know when the -5 percent damage is taken?

I would think it is done as Mark of the Vanguard, which is after protections etc.

But if that is the chase the passive from Greaves looses importance when you got high protections, so basically it would be better on a carry than on a tank/support.

For example:

Lets say something does 500 damage and you got no protection (enemy pen takes your base pen down to 0 or whatever) then the passive would take away 25 damage. This would be the same as doing the -5 percent before damage mitigation, which I hope is what it does.

If you got 100 protection after pen etc. The passive would only take away 12,5 damage.

Is there anyone who can clarify this?

i tested it, and it does remove 5% AFTER EVERY dmg migitation. jungle practice VS FG with very high physical protection; 50 dmg per attack. same protections but with greaves, 48 dmg taken.

Then I wont be building that on my tanks :P
