Rank Purposes

There's a difference between titles and ranks, by the way. When I was a Veteran I displayed the Editor title because I wanted to be a special snowflake (I'm pretty sure that's what you were referring to).

But to reiterate the aforementioned responses:

Red is for administrators.
Blue is for Jesus moderators.
Green is for veterans.
Orange is for Editors.

Administrators are the actual staff of Smitefire; they receive payment for keeping the site up to date and maintaining order (though vegetable anarchy is imminent). Every rank below that is for members who have spent a lot of time on the site and have offered/been offered the ability to help so the administrators can still have lives. Editors can edit the database (what a concept), which is a great help for sweeping changes that come with certain patches *coughonemillionitemchangesmultipletimescough.* They can't actually post new material in the database - we have to wait for an administrator to update the site for the newest god and such. They also have access to a super secret forum where the real party is at. Ya'll ain't invited, mwuhahaha. Veterans are pretty much the same thing as Editors, the only difference is access to another ghost town forum party forum.

And moderators are on kitchen duty. :P



Technically user is a rank with special privileges as well, considering guests can't make threads or posts. So, you are special! :D

Unfortunately, there is a llama that sits in the best corner of the Jacuzzi and he refuses to go away, even when offered a pair of mismatched socks to chew on. And he just stares at you.
