God Reveal: Ares, The God of War

I have to admit I am let down by this god and what they made him.
But his kit is going to be really impressive if done right.

How come? He seems very viable and a serious Teamfight wrecker? You didn't expect a tank or?

Its just he was more pictured in my mind to have his spear and be a brusier.
His abilities dont really make sense in the mythology of himself, the flaming shield, the chains and what not.

As a god in the game, taking the mythology out of it I love him tho.

I think if purification beads will work on his ult then he will be pretty useless in serious matches but he might still be fun in solo queu and I will probably buy him when I get the favor (if I don't buy spider lady).

Ahhhhhhar! Good point sir! I guess alot of this game is depicting what the Gods look like in the majority of people minds, was thinking some duel wielding axe beast of kickass war myself, i know what you mean with the whole image, i agree!

Luckily i dont mind if they dont match mythology so all is gurd for me at least hehe :')

I really dont see why they would work. It's like asking whether beads work with Arachnes pull? Its pretty much instant. Would you buy beads to counter Arachnes pull?

He's ult has CC yes, but only after he has pulled them, he stuns them and then the beads could help, but people dont buy beads to counter other stuns, say Thor's ult.

the beads will only stop the stun of the chains, not the ult itself as the ult is not a form of CC
He will still be able to pull people away tho and we are only going to be able to buy 2 abilties now.

Seems like a nice god, but not what I had hoped to see.
-His defense buff will be helpful in defense, and his passive is really good.
-His shackles are good, especially since he can shoot three.
-His shield isn't what I expected from a Spartan, and I didn't expect him to do magical damage either.
-His ultimate is a let down, I hoped to see him summon a wave of spartans that will fight for him, which is what I thought would happen when they showed the warriors (spartans) worshiping him at the beginning.

Would have been too close to Sun Wukong's ult
