"We knew that the Earring Tree would be a set of items that would require some adjustments. When it comes to Manticore’s Spikes and Fae-Blessed Hoops, we want to wait a bit more to see how players continue to adapt to a new mechanic. Players have been able to more quickly evaluate Griffonwing Earrings and Sphinx’s Bauble, and so we feel comfortable making some adjustments. For Griffonwing Earrings in particular, the DPS loss has been too intense to warrant experimenting with it in the majority of builds."
  • Decreased the basic attach damage penalty from 15% to 10%

  • Decreased Physical Power from 30 to 20
  • Decreased Magical Power from 50 to 30


"Sphinx’s Bauble and its Tier 2, Jeweled Studs, have been the talk of the Battleground since its Midseason entrance. Jeweled Studs are simply too stat efficient for a Tier 2 item, and make it too easy to build into Sphinx’s Bauble without sacrificing strength. For the Baubles themselves, as much fun as it has been to feel Omnipotent in regular modes, it’s clear that many gods are willing to trade damage for extra cooldown. We are cutting the passive’s benefit in half while keeping its reduction the same. While we wanted these Earrings to feel game warping when applied properly, it is clear that exceeding the Cooldown Reduction cap by 20% was a bit more game changing than we want. We will be closely following feedback on how it feels to both play with and play against Sphinx’s Baubles."
  • Decreased MP5 from 30 to 20
  • Decreased item passive cooldown reduction Cap from 60% to 50%



"The Goddess of Magic has been dominating SPL for most of Season 9. First in the Support Role, and now in Mid Lane as well. She wields a huge amount of utility and damage, but at the cost of mobility and consistent long range poke. Dispel Magic is the key source of that high utility in her kit, so thats where we aim this nerf. This ability already excels at CC and self peel, but also includes a large protection shred. We are decreasing that shred in the late game so that enemy bruisers can better pressure Eset out of fights."

  • Magical Protection Debuff decreased from 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% to 10% at all ranks


"This lovable god is everyone’s favorite hug bug until they have to play against him. Khepri continues to be a top performer at nearly all modes and skill levels, even with his recent Non-Conquest nerfs. We are nerfing two different parts of his ultimate to reduce the impact he can have on high stakes team fights."

  • Decreased Movement Speed from 20/25/30/35/40% to 20/22.5/25/27.5/30%
  • Decreased Revive Health from 25/30/35/40/45% to 20/25/30/35/40%


"Kali hasn’t been considered OP in a quite a while but she has finally climbed her way to the top of the ban list in ranked SMITE. Her basic attack style and consistent damage output makes her more valuable than ever since 9.5, and her passive is a key factor in her success. Between the massive heal she receives for killing her target and the hefty amount of Physical Penetration she receives against that target, Kali is too frequently cutting up the competition. We are nerfing two different aspects of her passive to make sure her opponents have more opportunities to shut down her kill streaks."

  • Decreased Heal on Kill from 80% to 60%
  • Decreased % Physical Penetration on the marked target from 10% + 1% per level to 10% + 0.5% per level (decreased max from 30% to 20%)


"Its hard to discuss OP gods without talking about Ullr. This god tends to be much more powerful in the right hands, but at this time just about everyone is giving him a shot. As one of the most played ranked gods in the game he has drawn some ire from the community and is starting to create some frustration. His last round of nerfs focused on his mobility and early clear, so this time we are nerfing his late game lethality."

  • Decreased Physical Power buff in Bow stance from 25/30/35/40/45 to 15/20/25/30/35

  • Decreased Physical Power Scaling from 100% to 90%


"The God of the Sea has one thing that many other Mages don’t: speed. Poseidon can leverage a huge movement speed buff on low cooldown in a way that create an advantage that's difficult to counter. His ability to hyper farm should come down with this nerf, and hopefully his ranked pick rate as well."

  • Decreased Movement Speed Buff from 10/15/20/25/30% to 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%
