Dynamic queue is quite new to league and it's ****ed up.
If you are playing a highly contested role, chances are you are gonna get
the second role like 80% of the time.
If you are picking Mid as first pick and Support as second role you're gonna
have to support over and over and over.
Here is a video explaining in detail why it's flawed:

It's pretty common for new stuff to be broken, Or not working as intended. Part of this is because of huge flaws. And well the Support problem is more something from the playerbase. The playerbase has a really low amount of support players because loads of people hate the role and want to carry etc. Making the first flaws even worse (first flaw has to do with matchmaking timers and ranks)

Riot creates good characters? What is a good character to you?
The last champions Riot released were filled with overloaded
and complex kits that are really hard to get into and you can
really see how they're trying to make every champion " special " now.

Graves only has 2 bullets.
Jhin has some sort of weird bullet mechanic.
Tahm Kench has the grey health.
Aurelion Sol can fly through walls.

First of I'm gonna say I would have said for Graves got a shotgun like auto attack instead of only 2 shells.

And I don't know how much you read patch notes or have looked at the pre season reveal. Because Riot stated that the goal for this season is to make champions feel unique/special. They planned this by reworking champions and for adc also the items (cause adc lacked variety in a lot of cases imo).

They already planned a rework for several mid lane mages too. They are doing this mostly to make champions more interesting and also would get picked if they aren't as strong as a champ that does (or after rework) did the same things.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE(D) LEAGUE else I wouldn't have put nearly
2000 hours into the game, but they've made the main game simpler
and simpler (eg. objective timers) and the champions harder,
weirder and super overloaded.
Every of the champs they released was either overpowered as **** (Tahm),
bugged because of the weird mechanics (Azir), or just plain useless (Jhin)

Gotta agree the newer champion really got a different skill floor and ceiling. making newer players use the really old champs

Smite also has alot of flaws and weird gods designs, but I feel like I can
get a hang of them after playing a 10 minute arena game, while you gotta
get your *** beat in normal games in league if you want to learn how the
mechanics of a certain champion work.

Guess those were 5 cents.

I feel like smite also took the turn riot took with some of the newer champions sometimes. most of the S2 champions take me several games to see how they work because they don't have the easy synergies like older gods do making a first game really awkward on comboing (it isn't clear what would be good combo's from just reading the description)
