What gods do you want to see?

Skadi seems like an obvious choice.

Hermes is coming, I heard. But he's Mercury in this game.

I want another god of mischief in this game. Loki doesn't quite cut it for me.

Jesus was nailed to a cross,
Thor has a hammer.

I think the winner here is obvious.

Personally, I would love to see Jesus in the game. They've already used one of Hindu's major deities, so I don't see why Jesus would be out of the question. He would fit a support role very well, and they can use his lore of being a human considering many Christian denominations do not believe in the trinity.

However, I'm not naive enough to think Hi-Rez has the balls to implement Jesus into the game, so that's just me ranting. I do think that they could do quite a bit with lesser characters from the bible, such as various angels. But considering there are plenty of gods from dead religions, I'm sure they'll just take the route of least resistance.

yeah looking at how they will never release a hindu god ever again i doupt that they will even try to go into one of the more major religoins in their own area.

hirez eiter got a smack of money or was treatend because they will never even think of a new hindu god in smite. its sad really. hindu culture and religion has a ton of great stories and chachters to choose from.

I believe HiRezDuke said something about releasing a Hindu god that was very toned down in the pornography department and not as prominent of a deity (Kali is a major deity in the Hindu religion). But considering it's been over a year since a Hindu god has been released, it was probably just to temporarily shut people up.

Hi-Rez was certainly threatened, but I'm not happy that there statement boiled down to "we won't back down" and they totally backed down. As you said, there are a multitude of interesting deities to choose from, and it's sad that we likely won't see any more.

So, congratulations to Hi-Rez for taking the safe road. Personally, I'm more likely to support a company that actually has a pair of testicles.
