Do you think Weakening Curse should be negated by Purification Beads and and cleanse?

Currently, the slow from WC can be completely negated if you have immunity to CC prior to its application, but if cleanse or beads are cast after its application, they will only hinder its slowing effect for their durations.

As for the healing reduction, nothing can stop it. Even if beads or cleanse are active prior to its application, you won't be able to receive heals (even though the debuff won't show up, lol).


So, do ya'll think it should or shouldn't? The only reason I can even deal with it is because of Heavenly Agility -.-

I think Purification Beads and skills like Cleanse should remove the effects. Weakening Curse is the most annoying thing EVAR

I'm not sure if debuffs count as CC, since debuffs technically don't restrict player options. Losing 7 + 5% of your defense, for instance, isn't CC.

I'd just nerf it to 50% healing reduction.

It used to be 50% reduction, and I was fine with it. I realize it's not technically considered a CC - it's similar to zoning, in a sense. I just hate it and want it gone.

My best defense would be that it's the equivalent of cripple, which can be beads'd. ^_^

The prosecution would remind the court that cripple prevents the activation of an ability, while Weakening Curse does not technically prevent you from casting. *smug*

I wouldn't mind if beads and cleanse took off the slow, but not the healing reduction.

True that, they buffed HA's and WC's ranges by insane amounts, lol.

@Sub: The prosecution is very mean!

Oh, and I'm a flip-flopper, I suppose. This was my original one anyways, and my desktop background is the avatar I've been using for the past week or two, so I see it very often.

On one side i agree that it should be removed with beads. On the other i disagree with cleanse removing it since the actife it's self is ment to counter healer's and if all the healer's (exept ra) can just remove it it would lose it's purpose. Hel, apro and chang'e all have an ability that remove's cc from them. So if those would just beable to pop it and heal again it is a flawed active.

So only beads should remove it.
