That's rude. But thanks for explaining the League system, I didn't understand it at ALL.

No, it wasn't rude - it was a simple statement. I wasn't even implying that Brazilian players are worse than others, because I'm pretty much positive he was from USA. He seemed to just be a troll that pretended to be Brazilian and randomly type "BR hue" to reinforce the stereotype. No problem on the explanation, though. It's hard to understand it when Hi-Rez sort of withheld the information, but I remember one of the employees stating it a reddit post how your ranking was determined.

Well in that case it won't be that bad. Also I hope this league system will pan out for Smite. The pure elo system was eh ... flawed to say the least.

Yeah, it won't be bad. Like I said, it was more of a comment than a complaint. :P

It's still the same pure elo system, really. Just with monthly resets. All of the league stuff is completely aesthetic out of those benchmark numbers every first of the month. You're matched by total elo which is only showed on the player stats page on HiRez' website. The top player in gold can lose thirty games in a row and keep their top spot since their top 10 games are still the same, but if their elo has tanked down to ~1200, they'll be playing in bronze level games.

The league system is just a nice ribbon on ranked. I like the exclusivity of the top levels, and I think it's drummed up a lot of interest from players that may not have cared about just raising a mostly unknown number.

I do hope they bring back the demotions once there are enough players though. Silver is going to be tens of thousands of people in a couple months if the bronze advancement pool counts everyone who plays 1 game.

This makes me wonder - are there going to be any rewards that will be exclusive to the first few seasons of Diamond players?

Since only 2 players from the entire Smite community will make it to Diamond Rank, I assume it should give you some, although unmeasurable, status. I would try my darnest to make it there if I were you. You would be the first player, ever, to make it to Diamond, sharing your position only with one other. :D
That's just my 2 cents.

Oy! Give me some privacy.

I agree with thiel.

I thought you meant BR as Bronze, and "Hue" as the border/aura thing around you card when you join a match... @_@
