LoL recently introduced a new mechanic of scaling support benefits. Each god gets better at what they do, like the old Focus system.
For example, Leona, a support tank, has a skill which increases her defenses by 30/40/50/60/70. The new patch lowered the base number by 5, but added a little addendum which increased her defenses by 20% of her bonus defenses. It becomes way more effective and scales with level better.
Now, how to apply it to Smite?
Take Ah Muzen Cab. He's been hit by Bee Colony Collapse Syndrome, and it sucks. Well, why not make the damn thing scale with level? Maybe 5+5% - 15 + 15%, increasing in one base damage or one contribution per level. It remains relevant in late-game, without being broken.
We could apply this to other moves, too, but especially support. Like having Ymir's ultimate increase the slow, becoming more effective as a zoning tool rather than being a mild annoyance at later levels.
Or Isis' circle of protection. 17/19/21/24/25% damage reduction. Similar for Athena's ultimate. Because at later levels where a burst from a mage can 100-0 someone, I feels frustratingly ineffective, as an Isis player.
Or instead of having 20 demons max from the start, Zhong Kui could have ten, with one more per level, up to 30. Still tanky, but not "early-level-invincibility."
