1) Too much data at one time? like if you keep too many things open at once.

2) Viruses? If so, you are screwed.

3) Is the connection actually reliable? Cause I have wifi that is supposed to be ****ty (from what I heard anyway) but works damn well.

4) Computer? Old model, less space, broken in some way?

I had this problem too. I got rid of some things i didnt need and reduced settings on smite. Eventually I gave it a break and when i came back i was able to play with medium settings.
(BTW I play on a PC)

Im able to use HIGH settings every now and then, but I have and ASUS. I usually have to close most programs down like SKYPE and anything downloading in the background.

I would just use medium settings, visuals arent as important as playing the actual game. i have the same wifi, ASUS with a Toshiba computer that has Windows 10.
Hope it gets better.

pro's would even put the settings on the lowest and disable everything that doesn't matter (even in the sounds they will just remove the music so they can hear the effects better (you can better hear an Thor ult in the air etc). They do all this to boost there FPS (and the sounds are more for faster reactions)

also normally wifi is slower then an ethernet cable

saying I have an asus etc impacts as much as saying I have a samsung. The difference between PC/phones/Tv's etc are the specs. Because me and my brother both have a Medion but they are both very different (he has an I7 I have an AMD A8 (quad core). just to note a big difference in comparing my pc with his (mine is also full AMD and his full intel))

yep. only smite, and it is really confusing, because i play other games with MUCH higher graphics settings then smite and they run perfectly
