Hello smitefire, I know Ive really been pumpin out the guides lately, but Ive been trying some new things on gods and have been having huge success with it. I think is chaac's case, people dismiss him as being useless late game and not doing much for his team, however I find him to be quite a powerhouse, and that people build him too tanky with too much cdr. If you build chaac like tyr, then yes he wont be doing much, but with this build Ive been having tons of success, as I will being going into detail.
This is the ability you max 1st. Its chaac's lane clear ability that you can also harass with if the enemy stands near the wave. Using this skill allows chaac to teleport with his 2, and allows his ult to knockup.
This ability gets maxed LAST. Rank 1 is good for lane clear, and also allows you to escape things such as odin cage, but thats about it. You should prioritize his heal and ult first.
This ability gets maxed 3rd. Eary game you have potions for healing, and you need damage on your 1 to clear. But mid game this skill heals well and provides a slow so you can chase down your target and wail on them with your axe.
This ability gets maxed 2nd. Unlike Tyr,
Osiris, or
Ravana you actually want the damage on your ult to get kills with early game. I find it best to use this ability when the enemy is at 40% health or less, as its unexpected, and you can nicely combo damage with your strike and torrent as well.
Standard damage boots for lane clear.
Standard defense along with cooldown to his damage and heal more often. If you are up against a magical solo, you can pick up a gengi's guard or Bulwark of Hope here instead.
This is where I see most people mess up. They think "Oh my heal needs to be up all the time, Jotunns it is" or "Osiris and Vamana get frostbound so I guess I will as well.
Well to be honesty, building full cdr is playing towards chaac's weakness in mind, not his strength. And frostbound is redundant since you have a huge aoe built in slow to start with.
The truth is, Winged Blade does the same dps as frostbound, but costs a lot less, gives the same health, and allows you to slow and be fast yourself. Since I started using this item in general, (on ares, chaac, chronos, etc.) Ive been having huge success with it.
At this point in the game you get your other defense item. If you want more protection from magical burst, bulwark is a good pickup, if youd rather have the cooldown for the more sustain and faster heals, pick up gengis.
Much better DPS then Jotunn's Wrath against tanks or squishies. Even though we only have 2 attack speed items, Qin's still does work at shreading the enemies health.
Qin's Sais works best with pen.
The Executioner would also be a good pickup here for slightly better auto dps and shredding protections for your adc (if they dont have exec that is) titans is better IMO because it makes your ult hit harder to multiple people at once, not just one, and does more to towers for cheaper. That and I dont have to look at my hunter's build and worry about building the same item.
Thats all I got for now, guys. Its a short guide I know and Id like to add more, but Ive to leave in a min and will come back to this later. Again, suggestions are welcome, so feel free to comment.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
