Welcome to my Ymir Guide.
Lots of people scorn the idea that ymir can jungle so I made this guide to prove them all wrong. I played ymir ages ago when facepunch was still in the game and since then I have been trying to recreate ymir as a viable damage output.
Note: This is just a rough guide. Feel free to adapt it in any way you want in game!
This is also my first guide so it isn't as fancy as some of the others :(
Frostbite can do tonnes of damage
polynomicon can buff this to even more!
naturally very tanky early game
stun is great for ganking
now that you can pop ult early it is very powerful
Early game clear is slow...
most enemy junglers can burst him if 3 is on cooldown[/colour]
can be hard to gank with early game
All of Ymir's powers that affect enemies apply a debuff to the enemy called Frostbite. All of Ymir's normal melee strikes against a target afflicted with Frostbite do 100% more damage.
Great passive if you're building damage as double can be DEVASTATING, especially with the stun that the 3 gives you.
Ymir summons a wall of ice out of the ground that blocks player movement.
This is quite a one of a kind ability in smite, and with some practice can be used as both a great anit-escape or as an escape of your own. I max this last as it does no damage and doesn't help much when jungling. However late game it is great, being able to block a jungle route for 6 seconds!
Ymir smashes his club, doing magical damage to all enemies in front of him and slowing them by 35% for 4 seconds. Applies Frostbite.
This is the ability I max first. It does some crazy late game damage and the slow is really helpful when ganking and chasing enemies.
Frost BreathYmir uses his breath to freeze enemies in blocks of ice, doing magical damage and stunning them. Applies Frostbite.
A great ganking tool and the initiator than EVERYONE hates! At max rank it stuns for 2.25 seconds! this can seriously ruin a squishy gods day and also applies Frostbite! I max this second due to great ganking potential
Shards of IceYmir begins to freeze the air around him, causing shards of ice to grow on his back and slow enemies by 30%. After a 3s channel, Ymir erupts out of his frozen state, causing shards of ice to do magical damage to all enemies in his range. Applies Frostbite.
This is easily one of my favourite ults in the game, especially when combined with his 3 or 1 to block off escape. The new update severely buffed this early game, with the ability to cancel the ult for reduced damage
good for all junglers, it gives ymir some mana regen and sustain that he desperately needs.
Hand/Fist of the gods
Early game speeds up camp clear and late on can use FOG to stun if an assassin jumps you and as a ganking tool.
great initiator on ymir with his 3, at max rank the cooldown is quite short as well.
Shoes of the Magi
Gives some nice mana, pen and power early on.
couples really nicely with frostbite for INSANE damage mid-late game HIGHLY RECCOMENDED ITEM.
Magic power and attack speed are musts to take advantage of Frostbite.
Rod of Tahuti
Lots of power and MP5 never hurts as ymir is quite mana hungry.
Gives ymir quite a bit more power due to his natural tankiness.
Gem of Isolation
can help you secure kills and stop escapes, makes your 2's slow CRAZY.
15% extra damage is great for ganks and mana is good as well.
Gives more basic attack damage which can be great for ymir as late game his basic attacks are really strong.
