Hello and welcome to Corteg's guide to the 5th avatar of Vishnu, Vamana. Vamana is an extremely versatile god that can fill many roles, such as solo, ADC, and support. He is best played in the solo lane and is known for having great waveclear, a monstrous late game, and an amazing ultimate.
If you doubt Vamana, watch this. It is from the SMITE Launch Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, Team Dignitas vs TSM (Game 1) Day 1
Pros
-Very Versatile
-High Damage
-Late Game Monster
-Almost Unkillable while in his Ultimate
-Great Waveclear with Umbrellarang
-Great Disruption with Clear the Path
-Good Slow with Umbrellarang
-The Lil' Mana Skin
Cons
-Poor Early game
-Clear the Path can be easily interrupted
-Weakening Curse counters him very well
-Umbrellarang can be inconsistent
-The Divine Protector Skin
Sleeping Giant (Passive)
When Vamana is in Colossal form, damage from enemy Gods will increase the duration by .5secs, up to a max of 10secs. Also, 15% of Vamana's Physical protection is converted to Physical Power.
Nothing to say here, it's a good passive that fits into his kit.
Clear the Path
Vamana opens his umbrella charging forward doing 70/110/150/190/230 (+40% of your physical power) physical damage and knocking up any enemies hit. Costs 70/75/80/85/90 mana, 15sec cooldown.
This is Vamana's only escape besides his ultimate, so it is best saved for when even the mightiest of babies must turn tail and run
Armored Umbrella
Does 85/140/195/250/305 (+100% of your physical power) physical damage to all enemies in a cone. Costs 60/70/80/90/100 mana, 51/14/13/12/11sec cooldown.
This is Vamana's big, late game damage. It is very powerful and has a large AoE, making it great for teamfights and solo kills alike.
Umbrellarang
Vamana throws his umbrella forward hitting everyone in its path for 50/85/120/155/190 (+20% of your physical power) physical damage and slowing enemy attack speed and movement speed by 25% for 3sec. The umbrella will return to Vamana and will hit everything in the path. Costs 60/70/80/90/100 mana, 13sec cooldown.
This is Vamana's waveclear, and it is one of the best waveclears of all the warriors. It also has a very good slow on the first pass, so it helps set up combos with your ult. Note that both hits of Umbrellarang will do more damage than Armored Umbrella.
Colossal Fury
Vamana grows into a giant for 6secs (modified by passive, see above). He gains 5/10/15/20/25 physical/magical protection, 35/55/75/95/115 physical power and regens 5% of his max health every second. In addition his basic attack is an aoe. Costs 100 mana, 90sec cooldown.
This is one of the most annoying ults in the game, as it makes you almost unkillabe, and if anyone is stupid enough to box with you, they will die in seconds.(If you have built damage.) Remember that you can activate Greater Sprint while in this ability, eliminating tha AA movement penalty.
Vamana is one of the best warriors, and with the recant nerf to warriors (R.I.P SWK and Odin), he was almost compleatly untouched. He is a frightening addition to almost any team, cause 'Mana's gonna knock you out, what, 'Mana's gonna knock you out, hay hay.
