Hi my name is Divios, I like to believe I play at a high level solo lane. Vamana is one of my favorite gods just due to the fact of how hard it is to kill him in battle. As I play SMITE I like to also get better whenever I can.
With the build I posted above it allows you to do many things. You are super tanky and do decent damage, Mystical Mark will help mid game harass and minion clear as well as doing free damage in a team fight. Meditation will help you sustain a lane and heal for 30% of your missing health during a team fight. Hand of the Gods for securing objectives of course and even early game clearing before your
Umbrellarang can do it on it's own. With this build you will have over 3000 health easily as well as dishing out around 220 damage per hit.
Sleeping Giant This has to be one of the best passives in the entire game. It gives Vamana 15% convert from physical protection to physical damage, everytime he gets hit by a enemy god his
Colossal Fury cooldown is reduced by one second and during his
Colossal Fury it lasts .5 seconds longer per hit by a enemy god for a max of 10 seconds.
Clear The Path - This is
Vamana escape ability, it gives him massive amounts of movement speed for a few seconds. During this time
Vamana will knock up anyone in front of him, but remember you cant move backwards or to the sides. With this ability your always moving forward but you can direct him with your mouse movement. Max this last.
Armored Umbrella - This is a cone nuke ability that gives
Vamana very good poke that is unavoidable. Max this 2nd.
Umbrellarang - This is the bread and butter of solo laning
Vamana as it does many things.
Umbrellarang slows movement and attack speed as well as doing damage on the out and incoming. Since this ability can hit twice its a great wave clear and gives
Vamana a good ranged damage ability. Max this 1st
Colossal Fury - This is what makes
Vamana so hard to kill. This ability gives him physical damage, magical and physical protections, CC immunity, cone shaped basic attacks and the best part is he heals 3% of his maximum health per second for 6 seconds +
Sleeping Giant.
Pros:
- Best wave clear of a bruiser..
- Nearly impossible to gank.
- Very high base damages.
- With Sleeping Giant he has
Colossal Fury up very often.
- Can easily escape death.
Cons:
- No hard CC.
- Hard to do damage during ulti because people can run/dash/jump away.
- Better gods to have in teamfights.
Vamana can counter many gods and almost nothing can hard counter him in the solo lane.
Who Vamana Counters:
Loki - Before level 7 you can push him to tower so he gets very little gold as well as make his day horrible when he tries to clear with Decoy. Even if it's just a quick
Armored Umbrella to the face.
Hercules - Against
Hercules you will always out push him. When your fighting him you most likely will not kill him but you will be able to push him out of lane often and make him get behind on gold/xp, as he will not be able to rotate to the middle gold camps.
Chang'e - Against
Chang'e she has a terrible time clearing until she gets some items where her
Crescent Moon Dance can do enough. Abuse that and just beat her with your umbrella until she backs out or dies.
Counters to Vamana:
Hel - This god will make
Vamana have a hard time clearing. As soon as Vamana] hits the first hit of his [[Umbrellarang
Hel will
Inspire them back to full and make him use more mana then necessary. This god can poke down
Vamana early with a combo of her
Repulse and
Decay .
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
