It may just be preference, but I prefer building Deathbringer before Wind Demon.

If you can hold out for an extra 200 gold before backing, Deathbringer will give you almost a 100 DPS increase compared to Wind Demon (When Wind Demon's passive is active, Deathbringer still has a higher DPS of around 30).

However, the attack speed boost from Wind Demon can help you refresh the poison effect from Poisoned Star. Depending on the situation, this can be potentially more helpful than Deathbringer.

So, as I mentioned, it really comes down to preference and how you are playing at that point of the match, but I feel that both options are viable.

If you're going for crit, it's typically best for DPS to get Deathbringer 2nd, you're right DV...believe it offers the bigger overall DPS at that point. So, best to choose either Poisoned Star or Wind Demon first, then DB, then the other crit item.

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
