Core items I build every game

Notes Trans: fixes mana problem early game and helps almost triple your damage gives cool down which is important.
Jots: gives early pen and 20% cool downs making you have 30%
Brawlers: Lets be honest if most games mostly everyone will heal or have potions just get it

things that work (your choice)

Notes Heart: Gives high damage stat wise and passive wise
Titans: For when opponents are too tanky don't worry about squishys not having tank items raw damage will still kill them easily
Crusher: Not actually a fan of this item however if you want the early game damage go for it
Blackthorn: It gives health. Mana. Power. and Cooldowns I like to be a little more tanky since people tend to target the players doing the most damage in the game.
Bloodforge: Only if you are popping off and getting plenty of kills with no sign of stopping. Get for passive
Hydras: I don't get this item unless I am exclusively doing cat punch combos for fun its really your choice if you wanna attack cancel after every ability.

tank items I like

Notes Magis: For high cc on enemy team to avoid being fragged
Mantle: If you prefer mantle over spirit robe for the stun go for it
Spirit Robe: I mostly get this every game because I at least like one tank item to not be 100 to 0 (helps when cced)
Void: If you wanna be more more damagey with some physical defense for when they have 3 physicals on the enemy team
Shifters: If you wanna be more damagey while having the passive save you with extra defense
Gauntlet: If you are going full tank get this item because stat wise it is too good
Winged blade: If you need it for the slows go ahead
Relic dagger: Gives cool down and health but passive is for important if you wanna abuse Bracers

Things to avoid that i see people build

Notes aron: stat wise too expensive for the damage and cool down the Passive only activates AFTER your ult has finished I see no point get better items
Pridewen: People get this for cool downs but I would rather rush jotuuns for the pen and cool downs plus if this is your only tank item you get stat wise its not much and passive wise you don't blow up good damage at all

Relics (I get mostly every game)

Notes Beads: any small cc can stop you from a kill or could kill you get it first relic to be safe
Bracers: This one is important because if you have 30% to 40% cool downs when you bracer you only need 2 to 1 second before you can use whole kit again use this with your ult and you can get 6 abilities in and the other 3 after your ult ends Too good.

Relics for counter pics or for fun

Notes Ankh: In duel or any combat scenario when upgrade against magical this item will basically give you 20% extra damage for free
Phantom: for odin or when you wanna mess around to be tanky use this with spirit robe for a 30% mitigation
Meds: Stat wise this relic sucks but if you want to pair this with bracers for fun it means after 4 seconds off your kit making your kit basically used again the second you hit bracers doing ult combo

Intro

Hi I'm Bastets Cookies. I'm here because I'm simply bored teaching people individually on how to play or build Bastet, so I will refer them to read this instead
I am GM in Joust and Duel while being Masters in Conquest. I have 20 stars on Bastet because I simply like playing her so I experiment with her a lot.

Character Tricks (only 2)

Against Awilix: Simply pretend to walk towards her and jump straight down on your self most likely she will try to ult you misunderstanding the scenario and waste it Pair this with blink to blink on her since you jumped on nothing and whip to cat use your ult if you must

Against Ao Kuang (Bonus tip from last time): Because of how Bastet coding works her jump has negatives and positives Bastet can get hit at the very beginning of her jump basically Hi Rez has not fixed this and it has existed for a long time but against ao kuang it can actually be handy

When you are in execute threshold make him ult you jump down on your self with perfect timing for two different scenarios.

  • Scenario 1 (thud canceling): I call this thud canceling because of the sound it makes when performed right you will cancel ao kuangs ult and hit him with your ult but becareful though this only canceled the animation and he has it still but you can always jump back so thud cancel once more by jumping back and by that time if your abilities are down they will be back up so finish the job

  • Scenario 2 (Dragon canceling): This is when its almost frame perfect this will make you jump in the air get hit by ult extend you really high and the dragon will come up however for some reason the dragon will pass you and you will actually live! this makes ao kunags ult wasted but be prepared he will most likely realize what happened and land down to finish the job at this point prepare to fight once more before one of yall kill the other.

Cat Techs (Secret Techs)

Cat punch was mentioned earlier and while I did not explain it I will explain it here.

Cat punch: without any attack speed items at lvl 13 because every character gets a faster attack basic as they level Bastet jump will once again break and act funky simply jump and hold down the attack the second you land the second a glitched basic will come out meaning your jump when paired with lets say hydras could be 1500 damage use the whip to finish off the prey

Catapult: The new rework has taken away some cat tricks but has added new ones instead. Catapult is when you throw a cat slightly away from a wall making it slide off the wall and hit an opponent if done correctly master this in joust or conquest to get cheeky ganks

Cat bounce: This is catapult but even BETTER if there is a sharp edge of a boundary in the map and you use catapult this could actually make the cat teleport to said location or travel realllyyyy fast once

Tip 1: Use catapult and cat bounce behind a wall the opponent won't see it coming if you use wards correctly once they are rooted or you sent the cat jump on them and whip or just kill them.

Cat trap: Cat box and cat trap have basically been nerfed since the rework the cats have 2 hp meaning hunters can not escape easily.... Now use this purely on tanks simply whip to get passive use your jump near them and get in front quickly use the ult to send cats to the front and this could either trap them or make a gap behind them simply jump backwards after sending cats and plug your body into the small gap trapping the poor tanks.

Sadly Cat box and Cat trap are basically no longer viable but it still feels nice too pull it off if the tank is the only one left....

The ult

Now I actually redid this guide to put small infos here and there and maybe simplify it but as you have noticed I do not upgrade the ult that is because I simply don't care for it. When testing this ult at lvl 13 I found out that the ult does very little extra damage on squishies I would rather prefer upgrading my core abilities and doing damage there instead of waiting on an ult to get that extra 100 damage I did the math and if you would like Ill post this into the comment section.

Leveling 3

in the beginning lets say joust or duel in the past you would level 1 2 2 instead of 1 2 3 because her passive would make 1 2 2 a lot stronger and less mana to help preserve what little mana you had but after this rework 1 2 3 is now a lot stronger as long as the cat doesnt tank camps and die. I have been messing around with it its your choice tbh how you wanna level the beginning

The end

This is the end I gave some more secrets out but I will be keeping some of my own in case I need them against certain players... But I gave you some good stuff trust me =P
If you have any questions comment here or add me on xbox for additional help.

Since Heartseeker has been out of the question i've been building ichival for fun and omg why does this work the 30% attack speed allows cat punch and since you cat punch you can whip to basic and send the root to basic making ichi max stacks and it increases your whip damage by 40 lmao

Kriega1 (143) | March 15, 2020 3:57am
Why would you take heartseeker out? It proccing on 2 abilities is still fine, especially since they're non-ult cooldown abilities. The item is busted, so unless it gets nerfed, it's fine to pick up.

Also if her 3 is meant to be a Pet ability then it's not meant to proc item effects.

Ill have to test it in jungle practice but the 3 should proc the heart seeker and then have rhe cat turn into petmode

Just figured out heartseeker doesnt activate on 3.... so now I'm questioning if heartseeker is worth it since that means it only works on 2 abilities

Wait this sounds like a bug.

Asuming you hit the ensnare I think it should proc (but not on the cat's AA)

Can you add one example build please? Because I see no mention of boots anywhere, and remove meditation cause that's a noob trap relic.

For YouTube, you want to copy everything past the "v=" and click on the YouTube icon (looks like a bird head) to post a link. That or just copy the whole URL and use the BBCode Myst posted.
