Not really I can add it but I just don't ever see a reason to pick up Exe on him, unless in some really weird cases.

Build quins if you're having problems with tanks. Mercury should just as a rule of thumb stay away from hard CC or engaging team fights unless it's with his ult and you have a team around. He hits really hard and quick but can be taken out pretty easily with a stun. In case you're crippled you can hit 2 and be speedy again

That's interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a Merc building Qin's. I was under the impression you wanted to engage with his 3 or 4, and while the enemy is CCed, get an AA cancel in, and finish off with another auto or 2.

Essentially, I guess this would make or less than optimal on him. Or am I wrong?

But the executioner would still have it's uses due to high attack speed and % pen, wheras qins sais just doesn't synergize with his kit as well as crits do, as bran pointed out below.

Nope you're right. He's a squishy killer, he's mostly not looking to kill tanks unless they're the only targets. He's looking for that combo to quickly burst an enemy, and as crits also work with his 1, he's pretty much always built with that.
