I don't think a work in progress guide should be published. It doesn't really help much since some Gods actually have similar build. A guide that is completed help a lot since we knew why to choose the build so we can use the same strategy as the build. We also know how and when to use the skill incomplete guide. I have seen around two completed Apollo guide out there that really helps than this. I thought the name is Apollo physical carry something and Greek Idol : Apollo

problem with work in progress guides is that there is a forum for DISCUSSING heroes and builds, actually making a guide, means you know what your writing about hence its to "guide" players.

honestly though its not difficult to make a AD carry guide, i could probably make one for the next god released before even knowing his skills. the builds on them are almost identical everytime.
personally i would prefer more variety in the items currently available in game to carries.

Why do people hate on a work in progress. You can see this is a wip so don't get mad, if you don't like it then don't read it, no reason to hate. If you keep on hating maybe the author will get really pissed and delete the guide. Now there is a lost guide that could have great potential.

Should archive your guide until it's no longer a WIP.

Hahaha, I had too much Phoenix Wright today. Was playing it more than Smite.

But I will go ahead and stay out of this case. I expect a comment coming from the defendant soon. (Er....Gosh, I can't think of anything else)

On a side note here, I love your guide! I can't seem to play that type of Ymir though...

Lol? Ymir?

The defendAnt is not found guilty of the scolding they all deserve, but he does deserve his own, you can put it however you want but my original point stays the same.

There is a reason there are 2 different buttons for "Publish" and "Save", so that you can keep a guide reserved until it is READY. If its WIP or not ready then neither is it ready to be released to the public, and you shouldn't do it either, because you may write an astounding guide to this build and by some coinkeedinc it could end up being the meta for apollo, but your guide will already be downrated to hell and bad repped because you were too impatient or whatever-the-reason to keep it on save instead of publish, I would hate to see a good guide go that way.

You post it early because you want feedback? You just got it in my first post, its f*cking terrible at the moment, there isn't any feedback to give besides "bad items, bad skill order, wrong info".

Just keep it in your trousers until it's ready to be whipped out, or you will be laughed at for your pathetic attempt; is the message to follow here.

Objection!

The defendent is not guilty of this crime commited to be deserved at one person. He did not simply have enough information yet on how to create a guide, or did he had true research done before learning the difference between save and publish!

As for proof, by seeing his profile we can tell that this player had not had too much experience. His account was merely created today, and he only has two guides both published as of March, 28 2013!

Furthermore, his choice of items are very unexperienced, simply put the defendent is not guilty of the scolding until proven.

Gotta agree with Amgwtfover9000. It's a bad trend I keep seeing here: nobody wants to actually put in the effort to make a quality guide, and insists that listing an item build and skill order qualifies with zero explanation as to why any of it is recommended. What's worse are the people who upvote and praise such terrible guides, as they're only encouraging them.

I haven't even played Apollo yet, and I can already tell some of these choices are just awful on him simply based on an understanding of his kit's design.

Meditation should never be picked up on a ranged physical, ever. For any reason. Just use the blue pots, and try picking up Death's Toll as a starter item. If you're picking up Meditation, it just proves you're a bad player who doesn't understand how to conserve mana.

EDIT: If your guide is a Work in Progress, then you shouldn't be publishing it until it is done. You should just be saving it so you can finish it up later.

i published it because i like getting feedback, don't worry you can tell me what you would recommend! :)

Seriously, can we please stop with these kind of guides? I know you are not responsible for all of them friend but you are helping the trend happen. Enough with these 1 simple paragraph guides explaining the bare minimums with emotes and lol/wtf/rofl now and again as the only difference between them.

Firstly, your build I cannot seem to fathom at all, why transcendence at all? why heartseeker last? Apollos cooldowns are mostly situational/escapes, not spammable like a loki strike, so why hydra's lament? I would use nothing along the lines of this build and it is informing people wrongly, at least make a section explaining why you make these strange choices.

Second, one paragraph as an intro...I feel wrong really calling it a paragraph, because it's just telling people the obvious and the untrue (since when does he have a stun? its knockbacks, unless your the kind of person who treats knockbacks as stuns, which you may as well just say knockbacks anyway >.>)

This guide has no helpful info besides the bare minimum obvious you would see if you clicked on the god in game for his info, in fact that gives MORE. Please, remake the guide into something worth having on this site instead of just another piss-poor attempt at one.

this is a WIP guide :p i'm just putting it here so i don't forget while i sleep since its 1:31 am, this isn't exactly a full guide yet obviously
