Ao Kuang, Dragon King of Noodles
For those of you that done know Ao Kuang is the Dragon King of the Eastern Seas who has the MIGHTY STORM at his command. Due to the 'NEW META' Ao Kuang isn't picked as often in most cases but I still think he is a superb god IF he is played with care.
The reason for building a heavy mana based build is because of his passive Graceful Winds Graceful Winds increase Ao Kuangs magical power by 5% of his mana. For example; If his mana was 2000, then he would gain an additional 100 magical power because of this. Although it is only 100, it can make a BIG difference
Prepare yourselves to go full noodle!
NOTE: will convert all item total mana into magical power at the end
Book of Thoth
STATS
NOTE: This is all theory based and I have played games with this build does work. But the numbers may be off. So this is a ROUGH estimation. This is also disregarding Ao Kuangs base stats throughout.
MANA
Book of Thoth
- Unstacked = 125 Mana
- Stacked = 625 Mana
Shoes of Focus
- 250 Mana
Gem of Isolation
- 250 Mana
Spear of the Magus
- None
Soul Reaver
- 300 Mana
Rod of Tahuti
- None
TOTAL = 1425 Mana
Ao Kuang Passive + Book of Thoth = 114 Magical Power. This is 8% (Ao Kuangs 5% + Book of Thoths 3%) of the total mana of all items. (1425)
MAGICAL POWER!
Book of Thoth
- 100 Magical Power
Shoes of Focus
- 50 Magical Power
Gem of Isolation
- 70 Magical Power
Spear of the Magus
- 40 Magical Power
Soul Reaver
- 100 Magical Power
Rod of Tahuti
- 125 Magical Power
Passive
- 114 Magical Power
Total = 599 Magical Power
Rod of Tahuti passive (599 + 25%) = 749 Magical Power
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Holy ****! That's 749 Magical Power WITHOUT, and I repeat WITHOUT! Ao Kuang's base stats and stats through levelling. Which means it is higher!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This build is flawed in two ways;
ONE: This is expensive as ****! Coming out to a total 16,295 gold!
TWO: You are the squishiest **********er out there. Although you have enormous amounts of damage, a gust of wind will send Ao Kuang on his ***.

The dimensions can be changed by increasing or decreasing the variable "x," which is obviously replaced with a numerical value, such as "50."
You can also enter in ((Book of Thoth)), which results in Book of Thoth.
Just make sure to replace the parentheses with brackets.
Considering this is essentially just a build, I recommend changing your title to "Ao Kuang, Building for the Passive" or something similar which lets the user know that the guide doesn't involve a playstyle section.
I don't play Ao Kuang enough to give any input on the build itself, but I hope I'm not coming across as overly critical - I think guides that are builds are fine, I just think that it should be obvious in the title whether or not the guide is simply a build.
Also, Hagward: Jararo is one of the more influencing people on this site. I suggest you listen to him. In otherwords, I'm too lazy to put in my own input. I's 8:30 P.M., for gods' sake!
ANd Hagward, how dare you have swag on this website... bad Hagward.
I'll be checking up on this, but do revamp the build considerably.
At least you DID explain your (good) build, but I think that it would benefit from you at least telling readers how to use Ao with this build effectively.
Not upvoting or downvoting. Keep it up, and please put some work into it.
EDIT: Dammit jararo, you beat me to it!
As for the guide itself, it talks about the items and then the math behind the items. Not much to pay attention to.
Add a gameplay section, because those are the skeleton of a guide. A Skills section would be great to teach players what good ways to use his abilities are.
Take my word for this, and I implore you to check out my Ao Kuang guide.
