My Opinion On Agni After rank X.

Not Going to go into great detail or anything. I love Agni I think he is one of the more under-utilized gods in smite. I play him 2 ways depending on if I'm playing conquest or any other game mode. I feel a pro Agni will never let you see his noxious fumes coming. He would instantly ignite after his 2 or with his 3 as an escape. This is the way Agni was meant to be played. Except when playing conquest. Noxious fumes is always my first pick and I use it to clear waves, as with magi's blessing you get the 25 damage. When you hit full build your ult will deal out close to 2700 hundred damage alone each hitting for roughly 900. Once you get the hang of insta-igniting your fumes your well on your way to Agni Domination.

Conquest

In conquest I play a little different I find this build trades burst damage for sustain and cc. With Gem you really slow enemies down with your passive and 3 after igniting them. Making your Ult more accurate and deadly. The Increased life steal and health make you very spongy of damage. You could trade out typhoons fang for book of the dead for the health shield if your taking more damage than you can recover from. Also Shamans ring is a great substitute for fang if your dominating and want to be even more trolly it combos nicely with gem on lowering protections and movement speed as well as increasing yours by 10%.

“Noxious fumes is always my first pick and I use it to clear waves” - Allright so you just admitted you’re a troll

No, they didn't say that; that comment is unnecessary. Maybe they feel that extremely safe clear is preferred. It's got a lower CD than the other two abilities, and placed properly can hit the entire wave.

That said, Phantom, you do realize that Path of Flames is typically the starting ability, and it clears MUCH better than Fumes, right? As long as you're not going to be poked constantly, you should generally be able to avoid the enemy's waveclear ability at level 1, then go to the archers and dash through them back to your side.

What other reasons do you have for getting Fumes at level 1?

Did you really just suggest noxious fumes is a viable level 1 choice? Yikes

Yes let’s wait 10s for my waveclear ability to do damage close to an instant 2 or 3, and let the enemy melee minions kill my melee minions for free and walk out of noxious fumes at level 1. Absolutely terrific.

If “safety” is the argument you can start the 2 (which can apply his passive, Which also procs mage’s blessing). Starting the 3 at level 1 is generally the best option. Also if you feel you won’t be punished for it, you don’t have to walk to enemy archers and use the 3, you can also do it from the minions to the archers and then walk to the side / your side (probably not ideal into someone like Thoth due to the CD reduction on his 1 if hits consistent shots).

I always start with flame wave and use his passive to clear minions. Never thought to use fumes. Do you use this build in ranked conquest?

Never start with fumes. Use flame wave or path of flames at level 1.

Yes Build 2 is my conquest go to. I may switch out the last item depending on the opposing team.
