Bumba's Hammer is also a really good starter upgrade right now. I just have Bumba's Spear as every upgrade for the sake of consistency.

If you are going Bumba's Hammer, be careful not to overcap CDR. It's not a big deal if you do tbh, but it's something to be mindful of. You can always sell Jotunn's Wrath late if you overcap.

Cliodhna's Skill Order Notes If you disagree with this leveling order, feel free to level how you want.

As a jungler you are wanting to burst the enemy as fast as possible, which is my reasoning for this leveling order.

You are rarely going to be getting the entire 1 off without being interrupted, killed, or them escaping.

The 1 is also good when used defensively since you are immune to knock-ups, and if you immediately use it and then don't have it for the immunity it's a bit of a feelsbad moment.

Cliodhna wails at enemies before her, causing damage 3 times, with the final hit being the strongest. The final hit will also cause enemies to be silenced and deafened for 1.5s. While channeling this scream Cliodhna is immune to knockups. While inside a wall Cliodhna will cause a spectral face to appear and wail in her stead that damages enemy gods in a wider cone.

Cliodhna tears the veil between life and death, unleashing banshees in a line in-front of her after a brief delay. When it first opens it deals heavy damage before dealing rift damage rapidly to targets in the area and slowing them. Enemies hit by subsequent hits take less damage. This ability has 2 charges. Cliodhna can use this ability while inside a wall. When used this way the veil is weakened but not fully torn, instead activating when a target gets too close.

Pros + Cons


PROS

Really really fun with high base damage and high scaling.
Unique + fluid kit, unique ability to walk into walls, very good in jungle and solo especially right now.
All of her abilities do a lot of damage, on low cooldowns. With full CDR and/or Bumba's Hammer, her abilities are literally always off cooldown.
You can set up traps with Tearing the Veil
You can mitigate SO MUCH damage and cancel out so many different negative effects just by entering a wall. It is a really unique playstyle.
She works really well with auto-attack canceling.

🕈

CONS

It takes a relatively long time to enter/exit walls + you can't enter a wall when crippled or below 25% hp.
If you are living in the walls you will hurt yourself a lot, the damage scales fast.
Banshee's Wail is a channeled ability that can be interrupted.
Flickering Visions stops on the first enemy hit - god, minion, etc.
Her escape ability is also her primary engage outside of walking into a wall to escape.
She lacks CC.

Cliodhna can walk into walls once every 16s. While inside a wall she can move freely and use some of her abilities. Every 0.5s she loses 0.15% of her health, stacking in intensity up to 40 times. She cannot enter a wall while below 25% Health or crippled. While inside a wall and for 5s after exiting she gains 10% Physical Ability Lifesteal.

Simplified Explanation

Auto Attack Cancelling

Hydra's Lament works really well on Cliodhna, especially if you can AA cancel.

Cliodhna's auto progression is 1/1/1.5x in damage and swing time. So her final auto will do 1.5x damage but will also take 1.5x the amount of time to go off. If you are boxing you would want to auto, auto, ability, auto, auto. If you want fast burst damage you would auto, ability, auto.

You can auto-attack cancel very well with Cliodhna's 1 and 3. Her 2 is fine but the animation is a bit longer.

For Cliodhna's 1 - it can immediately be cancelled without the animation even going off. So you can auto > 1 (immediately cancel by right clicking) > auto.

For Cliodhna's 2 - you can't cancel the animation but its short enough to be added. You would just auto > 2 > auto.

For Cliodhna's 3 - you can cancel this ability early by clicking or pressing 3 again. It will shorten the dash but the cone damage and animation will still play. So you would auto > 3 (immediately cancel) > auto.

I wouldn't really AA cancel with her ult.
