Is there no monthly subscription option? If not, I feel like that would be a pretty key option to add.

Since the price per month is very small (e.g. $1 for ad-free), the processing fees and other taxes that must be paid would significantly reduce the money received from the supporters. Keeping Prime only available in 6 and 12 months packages is better for this reason.
