Marzanna (in Polish) is a Baltic and Slavic goddess associated with seasonal rites based on the idea of death and rebirth of nature. She is associated with death, winter and nightmares.

Base stats



God(Speed): Marzanna (350)
Health: 490 (+71 / 1910)
Mana: 255 (+25 / 755)
Attack Speed: 0.84 (+0.008 / 1.00)
Phys. Protection: 10 (+1 / 30)
Magical Protection: 0 (+.5 / 10)
Basic Attack Dmg.: 34 (+.9 / 52)


Passive: Nightmarish:
Gods damaged by Marzanna deal 5% less damage to her for 3 seconds, stacking up to 15%.




1: Engulfed in Death:
Passive: Marzanna now has a 15-foot circle of darkness under her, the circle deals 10(+10% of your magical power) damage every second to enemies inside of it, and enemies have a 10% reduced critical chance inside of the circle.

Active: Marzanna absorbs her circle of darkness and gains 30/40/50/60/70 magical power and 10/15/20/25/30 protections for 5 seconds. The circle does not come back until the ability has finished it's cooldown.

Cooldown: 17/16/15/14/13 seconds
Cost: 80/85/90/95/100




2: Snow Field:
Marzanna harnesses the power of winter, creating a 25 foot radius circle of snow, enemies that walk through the snow are slowed by 10/15/20/25/30% movement speed and have a small DoT applied to them that deals 10/20/30/40/45(+20% of your magical power) damage per second. The DoT ends as soon as the enemy leaves the field.

Cooldown: 17/17/15/14/13 seconds
Cost: 80/85/90/95/100
Casting: casts exactly like Scylla's Crush.




3: Nightmare:
Marzanna shoots a ball of darkness in a straight line, if the ball does not hit an enemy it explodes in a 15 foot radius dealing 50/70/90/110/130 damage. If the ball hits an enemy it applies fear to them for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds and deals 70/100/140/180/220(+60% of your magical power) damage. If the enemy cleanses the fear they will be stunned for .5 seconds after the immunity is over.

Cooldown: 19/17/16/15/14 seconds
Cost: 80/85/90/95/100
Casting: Exactly like Spirit Arrow




4: Rebirth:
Marzanna comes back to life after death after 3 seconds, regaining 30/35/40/45/50% health and mana, and dealing 200/275/350/425/500 damage (+100% of your magical power) in a 20 foot radius upon Resurrection. Marzanna can move at 50% speed while resurrecting. Marzanna appears as a 20 foot radius circle of darkness with a dark figure of herself in the center while resurrecting. If she is killed again within 3 seconds of resurrection, the damage is dealt again (without magical power boost).

Cooldown: 180/170/160/150/140 seconds
Casting: If the ability is off cooldown when you die, you have the option to use it for 3 seconds, and after that you will go to spectator mode.

I just realized that upgrading her 3 would do almost nothing at all, so I changed that a bit. I also decreased some of her base protections and her base mana.

And yes, I still actually work on this.. -.-

Her passive is really weird. And honestly, I think it's too ineffective for what it does.

If you want to get the feeling of "too scary attacks become less effective," then you're better off doing something like "Gods damaged by Marzanna deal 5% less damage to her for 3 seconds, stacking up to 15%." It feels strange to limit it to just basic attacks, using a flat amount, with a flat duration, meaning it'll fall off into "what passive?" late game.

Engulfed in Death is really original, and is a cool concept, but it's a tad sloppy in execution. For one, not many gods have dashes and leaps and are willing to go exactly to your location. In addition, I'm pretty sure it's literally impossible to go within 5 feet of a god, considering 13 feet is basic attack range and the size of gods' hitboxes - you can melee basic attack someone without going into that radius at all.

I'd change the circle to have a 15 foot radius - basically an Art 3's circle. And its effect should be more than "anti autoattacker," just like the passive. Maybe have it deal constant damage? The active effect is nice, but needs a longer duration to be effective. 5 seconds flat is fine.

How long does Snow Field's DoT last? That's an important question. Also, 25 foot radius, or 25 foot diameter? 25 foot diameter is smaller than Art's 3.

Rebirth seems overcomplicated. If it heals you immediately when its broken and also when its not broken...it feels like an overcomplicated way of "hitting equals heals," and I'm not sure what this has to do with rebirth.

Her ult is honestly also overcomplicated. I'm not sure what the intention was behind this ability, but it sounds frustrating to use - you want to hit groups for an AoE damage spell, and it has an execute function...so you want to save it for weaker, focused targets? It's a bit contradictory.

If I were you, I'd change Rebirth to this:

And this is an ultimate.

As for Fury of Death, maybe rename it to Nightmare? Deal damage and fear targets, AND fears for longer or applies a debuff or has a reduced cooldown or whatever if the target is inside your 1 radius.

Overall, I'm a bit concerned about her playstyle, as she's a mage with one overly situational melee ability, two ranged abilities, and another near-melee ability. She's really weird. But it's a pretty cool concept.
