I started with Neith, which seems to be her entire purpose of existence. You play her in the tutorial, so you try her first, and you obviously like her and keep playing her. She's really not OP, she's just EZ mode, so she's perfect as a first character.

Odin and Isis were the first two gods I bought, and I played both for a while before picking up Freya and taking her all the way to level 30 and god rank 10.

My first favorite god was Ares when he came out. His ult was so OP. There was no way to NOT be pulled and he could go twice as far with you twice as fast.

Then it was Guan Yu because he was so good with the Gem of Isolation before he became a physical God.

When I started playing, Anhur was on free rotation, and when I tried him out, I had so much fun that I bought him when I had enough favor.

I was an Ymir player. I thought that being a tank I could make some mistakes and don't suck as much as if I made one being an assassin or whatevs.

Now I'm an Athena player.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
