Because xenu isnt a god in mythology lol.
The rest of the ones said may be obscure but still held a place in the old days of gods and believe that they walked around the world doing certain things. Not a crazy story from Tom Cruise lol

Buddha isn't technically a god. And I heard they were doing 6 from each Pantheon icluded so far, so doesn't that mean 5 more Roman gods.

A lot of what's in smite are not technically gods, more like "deities".

Guan Yu is not a god that's for damn sure.

Guan-Yu is actually a god.
He is the chinese god of war.


Guan Yu
Guan Yu (162-219) is one of the best known historical figures in ancient history. Part of the reason for this is that he appears in popular comics and movies. He is also a major character in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms that is a semi-historical novel said to be written by Luo Guan Zhong at the end of the Yuan Dynasty period (1279-1368). This novel is one of China's four greatest classic novels. He is also a god! Millions of people worship him and make little statues of him to put in their dwellings. He was said to be a strong warrior and a successful and daring general who was loyal to his rulers. One of the unusual things he did was that he served both his long-time leader and friend Liu Bei and the enemy leader Cao Cao well. How he did this is an interesting story in itself. Finally, he died in 219. During his life as an important leader in the bloody conflicts of the fall of the Han Empire, he showed daring and fairness, and then he became a god.

Its not a god if its a real person lol. I'm pretty sure no one else in Smite actually existed, except for maybe Bakasura.

That would just be your opinion on the matter. What says being a real person at one time doesnt make you a god? Who is to say all of these gods in the history books were never actual people or based on actual people?

So far each god put out has had its place in some mythology as a god and I hope they keep it that way. Tho eventually they will have to move into making up gods or slipping into famous demons angels and such things if the game lives that long.

Except Roman and Greek Gods are the exact same with different names.....

I can say the dame thing about you saying Bakasura was a real person. you telling me that a tiny little man with a demon head and knives for arms that could spit out demons and jump yards into the air while eatting full sized humans was real?

You are talking things to literal and not for what the people of those times saw and understood.

Bringing this back on topic, I'd love to see some native american deites (thunderbird would be awesome, but zeus and thor are already included so maybe too much lightning). Also Arachne isn't a god yet she's in the game. As for gods being real people at one time, there are at least a couple stories that I can think of where "regular people" ascend beyond humanity in their respective tales (Dionysus, Heracles/Hercules, Jesus). Now back to topic of what gods you'd like to see.

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
