Preemptive strike.

Insta-locking stopped bothering me once I noticed how many people select a god, then just wait to lock, knowing that they'll never switch for anything. What's the difference between insta-locking Thanatos and selecting him, then locking in after three other people selected assassins? You're wasting your time if you get mad at the majority of players.

I usually try to fit team comp, but sometimes I'd just rather play who I want, even if I know it gives us a worse chance of winning. I don't get mad at others for doing the same.

What really bothers me are the insta-lockers who then try to tell other people what to be. If you don't care about putting the team in the best position to win, don't try to make others play someone they don't want to.

Instalocking is annoying since it effectively removes the possibility of anyone playing that god, or possibly their role, for the match. If someone instalocked as Fenrir, you know that you're probably not going to be able to jungle.

To anyone who doesn't get Ah Muzen Cab, at least now you can lock Zhong Kui, Mercury, Thanatos, or Sun Wukong. A bruiser/tank, two assassins, or a mage, which are all very new and pretty contested. You can actually make a FULL team of the last 5 gods released!

TBH I haven't even once encountered these kind of people at all. When ever someone claims it first they wont argue that much and just get on with the game.
