this image can either be me or Hi-Rez

I think Hi-Rez isn't doing a good job at balancing (the powercreep is so strong in this game), the new map just looks TERRIBLE, jungling is just bad, fug of war in a 3d person moba? wtf is the point in being 3d person than? they aren't listening to the community

- Well, off to play some dota 2

yeah, I hate the power creep as well (l2n : learn to nerf plea)

but all the recent changes are ment for 2 things, jungle and warding, and that isn't bad IMO

Hi-Rez is just trying to create a MOBA standard from themselves, as they want to advertise. They want to attract new people from other mobas ( I would like to watch Riot games burn as I get their players if I was Hi-Rez as well ). And cmon! Jungling is a CHOICE

I have to agree they have to listen to the community more, but the map is just awesome!

I'm with Animusliberus, I just don't see why everyone is hating on Hirez for adding junglers to the game. Junglers will give this game a meta, and a wider play style. As it was before these patches, there were no tactics at all other than team fight tactics and pushing towers, no other exceptions.

This is the same trap so many developers fell for when they tried to compete with WoW, and what we learned from this over the course of nine years is that it doesn't work. If a game already has a very established playerbase that is content with their current game and has already sunk a lot of time into it, why should they take a chance on a new game that is only marginally different?

LoL is the new WoW. WoW could not be killed, what makes anyone think LoL will be any different?

The original direction SMTIE was going in was working very well: it was drawing in not just people looking for a new game, but also a group of players who came from FPS genre that liked how SMITE had similar concepts of having t aim your attacks, not being able to see whats behind you, and all that stuff. It also drew in a lot of players who didn't like the way LoL and DotA were handled, and wanted something different. SMITE could've carved it's own niche where it wouldn't have to compete for LoL's or DotA's players.

Now SMITE is putting itself into a bad position where it now must compete with an already established playerbasesthat will be very difficult to sway into their crowd. Do you really believe that's a smarter move than trying to be different?
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

Thank you guys, I agree. Adding junglers just gives you more to do in the game.

Yes, and no.

Even though I admire originality as probably you do in games like Smite, you have to get standards..

LoL and Dota 2 are already settled, and have taken up a fair 40% of the MOBA community each, and now Smite has to purge through, and step on the throne of HoN to get to a even higher one. But I know what LoL players would think of Smite "theres no jungle" , "You can see everything coming" "So imbalance" So Hi-Rez adds jungle so it would attract more players, the same with fog.

The same with some Dota 2 features.

Though, Hi-rez should keep its originality in concepts.
