I'm playing smite for fun. Not as a sport. You guys are playing it as a sport. All the complaints about "Op this" and "Broken that" or "Unfair this" and "You are fat"

If you remove the computer from us right now you will notice that you are just starting at nothing and moving your fingers....

Unless moving your fingers counts as a sport than its not a sport.

I don't really consider moving my fingers better than the other player to be a sport or something like that. Its just called competitive gaming or gaming, major league gaming whatever, I don't say to the hot chicks, ya so um.... I got to go ....

Girl replies back "Where you going?"
Me : "Sports"
Girl replies "What sport you play football, basket ball, baseball?"
Me : "I play video games, stare at a screen and move my fingers around"
Girl "......." - - - - > Leaves

I be like, ya man, I have to go lift weights with my fingers, you know I have to have them fast fingers for Smite to be the best!!! I gotta train for this sport man call me later, right now I am eating my protein to make sure my fingers get nice and strong for the big event.

Did you see me on the highlight real? Ya man I burnt so much calories playing Thor last night!!
IT was craaaazzy!!!

Ya case closed its not a sport.

The bigger question is what is the definition of sport? Something that use physical power?? But some people call chess sports....

BOOM!
Sport (or sports) is all forms of usually competitive physical activity which,[1] through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability

is gaming a sport, no unless you get people to power the PCs with a treadmill

I really don't think it matters, gaming as a career won't provide for you appropriately unless you're a world champion. In 10-15 years, I bet prize pools for gaming will be much more so it might be a thing for the next generation.

I watched a documentary on it lmao

Just because something can be competitive does not make it a sport.

You could make a competition out of cooking, but would that make it a sport? No, it would be a contest.
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

Yeah, I play it on an almost daily basis. Sometimes just 2-3 matches, other times... I just can't stop it!
