Sobek guide?

As it seems that there is no Sobek guide on this page, do anyone have any clear tips on how to build Sobek? I just recently bought him and realized that I got no idea how to play him, if he works better as dps, tank or a hybrid? I'd appreciate it if anyone took the time and made a proper Sobek build :)

Build him tanky. I have seen people try and biuld him as a carry and it does work, but he is much better for a tank role and setting up the kills.
His throw is awesome.

I have also been wondering why there is just one (under construction) Sobek guide right now. Is Sobek played at all in competitive/ high skill games? I really like to play Sobek, but I find him more and more annoying the why I used to play him.

In solo cue games it sometimes feels useless to play him as a straight tank. Being a tank you are highly dependant on your team/ laning partner. You won`t really be able to kill a skilled oppenent on your own. I had many games now where i tried to open a fight in a good situation, but my laning partner just ran away or focussed the other tank etc...so everthing ended up bad. And in the end I get blamed.

I think he can be a very good and usefull tank in a coordinated 5 man team using his knockback, throws etc., but in a solo cue game it might be better not to play him at all or to make him kind of hybrid.

Buliding him as a carry. How would you build him?

If you are only playing Solo queue do not even bother with Sobek, unless you really want to hop a hurdle and build him as a carry. Be warned this is pretty difficult thing to do as he just isnt really set up to just blow someone up. In solo queue you pretty much have to go in expecting to carry 4 feeders and expect to play against a 5 man premade Korean (No offense!) pro MOBA pro house. that way when your team sucks you know it was from being paired with a pro team! ;)

If you wish and I could make a Sobek carry guide for you. Be warned tho that I have yet to play him as I just do not really like his kit and have yet to play him really. It would just be based on looking at his numbers and personal recommendations for what I personally think would work for him with VERY little to no testing of the items.

You totally got my point. That is why I get more and more frustated playing him. I really like to play him and have played him in over 100 games now, but he just isn`t able to change a game which is running bad being build as a tank. In the rare cases in which i met a team which worked cooperatively he was a great tank.

Being a tank you would need a team which could work together as a strategic/tactical unit which is normally not the case in solo queue. He won`t even be able to carry a bad laning partner as the laning partner would have to finish off the opponents.

So I would be thankfull for a Sobek carry/DD guide.

Maybe I should just switch to a different main char instead for solo queue.

If you like tank Gods and that role and wish to run one in a solo queue game, pick up Hades. I personally have a guide up on him that leaves you tanky yet still able to do some decent damage. Sure you cant finish off people but you are able to punish them harshly and force them to either sit there and try and kill you, or force them to back off allowing you to push that lane and get away. Most times when you as Hades port in and ult, your team is smart enough to do SOMETHING allowing them or yourself to kill them. Sadly most of the time I either get a stupid amount of assists or a stupid amount of kills. Take a look at him.

I love solo Queue with Sobek. Sure you may not be able to do much... Get Gem of Isolation. When you use his toss. they get slowed so you can catch almost every god. It helps early game. As long as your lane doesn't have microphone communication
