Starting out, if you want lane domination you want pure sustain. There's little to no need for Mage's Blessing nor any early purchase for sdtacks as you'll have the sustain and restoration to stay in lane and farm up, plus these second-level shoes have great stats in comparison to other items early on.
Magic Shoes
Healing Potion
Mana Potion
By now you should have completed your shoes and I strongly recommend the "purple" shoes as it gives extra power and pen that is really useful for Zeus himself. As well, the next two items is just where you stand financially, meaning that you should go for Book of Thoth first, it's just a matter of gold of which level you can buy. I prefer Book of Thoth over Warlock's early on as these stacks are easier to complete, hence giving you it's passive quicker to help dominate and why not grab some more pots with that extra bit of change? :)
Shoes of the Magi
Spellbook
Book of Souls
Healing Potion
Mana Potion
At this point in the game, your stacks should be complete from Book of Thoth and should be around halfway complete on Warlock's. You can decide on whether to build pen or lifesteal next, but at least the "purple" shoes give you some pen to chip away at any protection. Wards are always great and they should be bought all the time, but they're much more important here as the enemy team is more likely to rotate and well... you're Zeus...
Shoes of the Magi
Book of Thoth
Warlock's Staff
Multi Potion
Ward
Obsidian Shard is great as it gives some power and it ignores your target's protections, you want some lifesteal so bancroft's is a good pickup, it's passive can also deliver more damage depending on you hp count as well.
Shoes of the Magi
Book of Thoth
Warlock's Staff
Bancroft's Talon
Obsidian Shard
With Spear of the Magnus, landing your abilities reduce your targets protection by 12 (max 3 stack) which is very useful with Zeus' ability combo
Spear of Desolation takes a second off of all of your cool downs when you receive a kill or assist, this is great in team fights where your burst damage is much needed
Spear of the Magus
Spear of Desolation
Rod of Tahuti gives an amazing amount of power, there are plenty of other items to mix in here so they'll come up next
Shoes of the Magi
Book of Thoth
Warlock's Staff
Bancroft's Talon
Obsidian Shard
Rod of Tahuti
Chronos' Pendant is probably the best cool down item in this game!

Divine Ruin

Soul Reaver
Witch blade offers some Hp and also a bit of attack speed!(good for shooting shield) However, it lowers your enemy's attack speed which may be the key decider if a sneaky god like loki or someone quick like Awilix gets up on you.
Mantle offers great protection for both types but it's passive stuns enemies and gives you purification if your health gets too low, this can give a perfect opportunity to flee from any gank or assassin, or of course melt them with your combo
Now I know what you're think, no, but i recently tried traveler's and it's really really fun, also it gives unpredictable speed to help get you around, jump in for some melt or run away!
Witchblade
Mantle of Discord
Traveler's Shoes
Aegis Amulet
Purification Beads
Heavenly Wings
Horrific Emblem
Tap each threat level to view Zeus’s threats
Hey guys! I love Zeus ( mastery 10 ) and I build all sorts of things on him, here's some combinations that I have had success within the past!
I've listed a few threats above ( and will list more) but for the main part, anybody who can deal high damage, mobile and have a nice leap/dash can be a threat to Zeus as he is rather slow, has now getaway and is relatively squishy!
