Terra is a pure healer and protector, and she should be used as such.
Her aggressive abilities are to root, stall, and slow the incoming forces.
Her defensive abilities are to heal, save, and protect her army.
Do not think you will be racking up the kills, this build is about ensuring your teammates make it back to base alive to refresh, stopping siege minions from making it to the portal, while at the same time stalling the opposing team and stopping them from getting the killing blow. At some point, you may be the only one facing all 5 opponents, and you will still have them on the ropes, you may even have to sacrifice yourself to stall them long enough for a win or to save. This is what Terra is all about.
With that being said, if you want to be more aggressive, your last two item choices can be magical power, but i only suggest it when the opposing team is physically lopsided not magically.
That is how you this build works.
If you want to use Terra like this build was intended your assists will be in the mid twenties, your kills we be in the low 1's to 5's, your mitigation will be in the 30k region and your healing will be at least 20k. You will also, hopefully, not die at all, and your team will have won. Due to the fact that you kept them safe, you are a fighter escort of sorts, when things get too harry you pop in, heal, stall, protect, and get that occasional kill. That is the true purpose of this Terra build, she usually does not die, she can heal and move quite fast across the landscape, while at the same time, slowing or stopping the ensuing forces while keeping your team alive.
You will sit behind your team, constantly activating your monolith to heal them, watching the corners for assassins like Loki or Ao Kuang, minding the warriors in the front, do not mind the mages unless they get to close. The second you see who want to cheaply attack your friends. Terra is extremely good at saving team members from assassins.

If there could be a team player it would be Terra to a "T".
Her abilities are made for healing and protection, she can take a punch, and she has an ultimate that in essence helps the entire team every time.
