- The reason this is the first item of grabbing is due to all of the features the item gives you.
Yes,
is cheaper to start with, but you are getting all of that plus more. The only reason you would want to bring this item in is if you are going against all melee classes.
Jumping into
early on in the game gives you a nice chance to crit, but also increases your attack & attack speed. This item always need to be in your build somewhere on Xbalanque, or even any melee dps God.
Next, is
. The reason you grab this item is the added health, but bonus to your attack speed and a bonus physical lifesteal.
- is another item you should just automatically have as a melee dps God.
Finally finishing with
(yes, you can substitute this item earlier on in the build if you want, but normally I would bring it up to the 3rd or 4th item switching. The only reason I leave it last, is because it doesn't have any bonus damage which you need early on.
Xbalanque has very weak defense but very strong offense. With this build, it will allow you to attack as fast as possible with the best crit/dmg combo to offer you a kill before you die. Remember, when starting out early game stay back more than pushing forward. You have weak defense, and not much on offense early game. Once endgame starts setting in, leave your #1 skill on during any God fights to allow a quick and easy kill.
This setup also allows you to break through most defenses, even ones matched with health. I know a lot of people like to build their Xbal with the phys lifesteal, but I have found this build is much more affective going against another Xbal built with the lifesteal build.
This build works great mid, or in a lane. I find that you can assassinate more often from working with a partner in a lane.
Pros:
- Fast Attacks w/high Crit/Dmg
- Escape Ability
- Physical/Ranged
Cons:
- Weak Defense
- Can get frozen/stopped mid attacks.
Grouping in a lane together definitely makes Xbalanque a stronger God. Choosing a tank to match with Xbalanque is critical. I have been a lane with Ymir, Guan Yu, and a few others that make it really easy to take out targets. There are different combos that you can create while working with a friend, or even communicating with someone that you have never been in a lane with.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
