Introduction

Hello, my name is rubriks101x and I am a solo main. I have all the warriors all least mastery 2, some characters are mastery 5, my Odin is diamonds, and about 150 hours playing them. So, I know a thing or two in the the solo lane. I hope that you enjoy this guide and later down the road I will post more guides on the solo lane. Also go check out my youtube channel for my quest to grand master series that I just started. My Youtube channel

Summary

Odin was one of my first gods that I got master in the solo lane. He isn't top tier for a variety of reason, but do to his high burst damage and good clear, he can play any role well . He has a stupid strong early and a relativity decent late game and If he gets over level, he could one shot any mage and ADC hunter. Now, that phantom has come into the game Odin really fell off from the meta, but still can be causal games.

Pros/Cons

Pros

Good Early Game
High Burst
Odin Cage is good for team fights
If ahead can 100-0 mages and carrys
Insane clear

Cons

Falls off late game
has a very risky clear
If the team has lots phantoms he can become somewhat useless.
If he misses his bird bomb than you cant do anything until it comes up.
Not very good against a team comp with lots of jumps or teleports
Can be mana hungry very early into the game

Abilities

Abilities Guide

Path to Valhalla

Odin is empowered as he escorts fallen warriors to Valhalla. Whenever any god dies on the battleground, Odin gains a bonus to Movement Speed and Power. This effect can stack up to 5 times
Duration: 8s
Movement Speed Per Stack: 8% (up to 40%)
Power Per Stack: 8% (up to 40%)

Basically this makes Odin stronger at the middle and end of large scale teams fights. It is very nice to have the movement speed for chasing and disengaging from fights.

(Note: its really rare that this this get to maxed stack. Unless you make some major plays. Also you don't have to get the kill yourself)

Lunge
Odin lunges to his target location, doing damage to all nearby enemies.
Damage: 120/165/210/255/300 (+70% of your physical power)
Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds
Cost: 45/50/55/60/65 mana

This is a basic lunge abilities nothing really special about it, but the fact that this lunge is fairly slow.

Raven Shout
Odin summons a flock of Ravens that create a shield around him. When the shield expires it explodes outward, dealing damage to nearby enemies based on how much health it had remaining. If the shield is at full health, it deals additional bonus damage.
The shield will not expire while Odin is using Lunge, and will always detonate upon landing.

Damage: 120/165/210/255/300 (+70% of your physical power)
Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds
Cost:50/55/60/65/70 mana

This is the reason why Odin Bird Bomb (1&2 combo) does so much damage. its important that you don't take any damage while you are activating this ability, or else the damage can be massively reduced. the actual scaling on this with the +25% damage bonus is.

125/218.25/312.5/406.25/500 (+75% of your physical power) damage.
so from this a fully charge Bird Bomb can do 800 damage with no power.

Gungnir's Might
Odin does a sweeping spear attack that hits twice dealing damage and slowing all enemies around him on the first hit.
Damage Per Hit: 35/50/65/80/95 (+30% of your physical power)
Slow: 40%
Slow Duration: 2/2.2/2.4/2.6/2.8s
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Cost: 70 mana

This ability allows Odin to stick on to his target after he has landed or even missed the Bird Bomb.

Ring of Spears
Odin summons a wall of spears that blocks his enemies movement, but Odin and his allies may move freely through. It does not block attacks. Enemies inside the ring have their attack speed lowered, and are unable to heal. Odin is immune to Slow and Root effects while in his Ring.
Enemies that die inside Ring of Spears grant Odin a permanent bonus to Physical Power.(note: you don't have to get the kill yourself)

Attack Speed Reduction: 20/30/40/50/60%
Healing Reduction: 100%
Duration: 6s
Physical Power: 5 Power per stack/ max 10 stacks
Cooldown: 75 seconds
Cost: 100 mana

This is what makes Odin soooo good late game. The fact that you can keep people in the same area is beneficial to the team, because it can be combo with so much burst (Zeus, Poseidon, Ymir, Agni, cupid, etc). This is also one of Odin's main problems because phantom has came online. Phantom hit Odin like a ****ING DIESEL TRUCK. Since it gives off an aura that makes people go STRAIGHT THOUGH his cage, a team with 3 of these makes Odin USELESS. So you have to be wise on how you use his ult.

Items

The one thing that I like about Odin is that he can be build different ways. You can build him attack speed adc (watch me poke you to death build), The One Shot Mid Laner, The SURPRISE **********ER Odin jg build, the unkillable support build, and the passive aggressive brawler solo lane build. All these builds I hope you guys can try out some times, but for this one we are sticking for the Odin solo lane.

Starter Items

Bluestone
Cost: 800
+15 Physical Power
+100 Mana
PASSIVE - Enemies hit by your damaging Abilities take an additional 30 Physical Damage over 2s. (Max 2 Stacks)

I go Bluestone because it allows my early game to even be more gross and allows my 3 to still do good damage. You could go for a death trolls, but Odin is not the best when it comes to head to head fights without his bird bomb.

Silver Breastplate start
Silver breastplate
Cost: 950
+200 mana
+35 physical Protection

Ever since they reduce the cost of this item, I have see it more and more in the solo lane . Its cheap and gives you lots of mana and solid physical protections from the start. I think this is good on characters that have good early game clear like Odin and Vamana.

Core

Reinforced Greaves - I dont like recommending this item because I feel like its going to be nerfed soon, but as of now this is one of the best boots to get right now.

Warrior tabi - Can never go wrong this item because it help you get that clear on.

Breastplate of valor - One of my main items for solo lane. I get this second item because there is no damaging item that can outclass an early tank items. The cooldown and the mana allow for good sustain and better Dps. Also if you get gank ,unless its ao kuang, the enemy assassin has a harder time trying to kill you.

Jotunn's wrath - A good item to get third for getting max CDR quicker for better team fighting. Might sell this later for more pen, if my build is overcaping on CDR.

Frostbound hammer - When you put down your cage the first thing that the enemy does is run around. this can be very annoy to deal with, so grabbing frostbound hammer added with your 3 you can make you stick on this person like glue.
Damage

Titan Bane - This is an item that I like to add on the end of my build because it allows my damage to maintain high later in the game. Its I reasonable price item that gives you a lot of damage against tanks and gives you more objectives control.

Brawlers beat stick -If the enemy teams has a lot of meds or lots of heals and my jungler didn't pick it up, I pick this item up Instead Titan bane.

BloodForge- This item is for if I am RIDICULOUSLY AHEAD and I can do what ever you want.

Hastened fatalis - I Like to get this item if the enemy team doesn't have any movement abilities (Dashes and jump). If you get this item plus frostbound then they can never get away from you. I mostly get it when I am ahead.
Defense

Mantle of Discord - This what I call a luxury item. it's a VERY EXPENSIVE item and usually I sell my breastplate for it or get it as my last item.

Pestilence - I add this as my source of anti-heal and magical defense, but I replace this with bulwark if my support already has it.

Hide of the Urchin - It's a VERY GOOD defense item to have but needs to be picked up early in the game to be effective in the later stages.

Spirit robe- One of my personal favor items to build because it make you even harder to kill in team fights. I don't rush it because you get more damage mitigation from you first solid defense item.

Playing Odin in the solo lane

]Main goal of Odin solo
In my opinion, Odin solo lane is one of odin weakest role. he has very risky clear, and since he has to use all of abilities on the wave, he gets turn on easily. It is also very easy to dodge the bird bomb with any god that has good movement. For this reason, I don't ever focus on trying to kill the enemy solo laner (I Might try if he screws up some how, but thats rare). My focus for the game is to make sure that I am there for early team fight battles. If I loss tower for 2 kills and a gold fury, then that worth. Since phantom isn't always picked up as a first relic, that means from levels 1-11 is where your most effective. Just try not to lose out on farm because you rotated too much.
Laning

Because Odin early clear is so good, you are generally going to have more pressure do to the fact on how strong minions are early. A good tip for Odin is that, you mange to out clear the opponent (most time you will) start basicing the opponent. If he doesn't have any archers and you still have yours, then your archers will start to attack him if he tries to attack you. This will give you a very high advantage over him and might get him low enough to finish him off with a bird bomb.
Team Fighting

Now, the most important thing that you want to be asking yourself is if they have phantom up. Its good to keep track of
Who has phantom has a relic
Do you think that there phantom is up
Does the person that has phantom around
can you force out any phantoms
Did any character recently use there movement abilities

these are all question that you want to ask youself on when you to get that ult off on. It is also important that you focus on the chartacter with no movement abilities.

Fin
